You can choose the steps/incline direction or split it so it raises both ways. More detailed instructions on the page but it's pretty simple to use.

If anyone actually uses it please let me know if it works well or any other recommendations you have.

I’ve never done pixel art in my life but this genuinely is so cool and brings me so much joy to see in a world where AI slop is everywhere. Like it’s so simple but such a “woah” moment that even has me considering doing some pixel art for fun

Yeah this is just math. If you do end up checking out Aseprite, theres lots of extensions that make it quite fun

@FruityFerret “This is just math” who is gonna tell him

you know what I mean 😅

The split adjusting feels a biiiit primitive with the pixel count having to be exact, but honestly that's not going to throw me off about this, for a first version it's very cool, and honestly I wouldn't know how to make it better myself cool plugin ❤️

Thank you. At the moment, the default value is at half the width of the selection. Then it moves away a step each side before raising for the first time. Thought about raising it at half the step, so the center is 2px instead of 4, but I think it'd get ugly with odds.

Nah, I didn't mean primitive in that sense, for splitting it would have felt more intuitive and easy to split by dragging some line on the selection like when you have the symmetry lines, though I simply don't know if that's possible with Aseprite lua scripting

idk why twitter won't show me replies so I just saw this. So far (this is literally my first script) I haven't seen something possible like that. The dialog, in which you place the controls (slider, number, etc.) has basically html options (radio, check) and others like colors

but nothing on the sort of "pick a point or division on the screen". In fact I'm having trouble working on selections because most of the time you have to calculate around the fact that the origin point is top left and not centered.

Would you recommend switching to aesprite if most of my experience is with pixelstudio? Seems like aesprite has a lot of weird/cool functions

Absolutely. I have thousands of hours and to this day I still go "this was here all this time?" to features I find randomly. I recommend watching a tutorial of the basics and then moving on to whatever you need for more advanced stuff (tilesets, animation, etc.)

👀

Scripts like this are such amazing tools. I get so used to the process of doing tricks like this by hand, I focus too much on making it “perfect.” Having something like this lets you go in and, from the transform, add back in the “imperfections” that give it style and character.

Exactly! This just alleviates the repetitive part of the process, by no means does it actually change the perspective

que genio

that looks really cool but the problem is i don't use aseprite and idk if there's an alternative for

@Sofbit This was made specifically with the aseprite api, so i don't think so unless you find a way to convert it

May your pillows always be cold and sleeps never be interrupted, may animals love you beautiful human being 🥹🙏💙

how to you guys load scripts, is it only in aspirate? or any drawing app?

This was made specifically for Aseprite, but its just simple math, you could recreate it in other pixelart programs that allow plugins of this sort

Awesome work!

Maybe would be useful if the window spawns a bit to the right by default?

Good catch, just updated it! Thanks :)

@noomks_choomks Ok how

@Aritano0

@wan_kkkkkk

Is this the real you?

Hi! Yeah :)

@riel_9999 Oh my god, you're an angel 🙏🏽😭

@keanushairspray

Thank you bro!!😭😭😭👍

Call it iso-magic.

oh, that's cool. i'm so used to doing it manually i assume i will forget i even have the script, but i'll try it :)

When i saw this i as well thought it could be so easy to code, like a for loop toing i=i+1 and it'll do it lmao

you're not going to believe it (it's exactly that) calculate initial coords, how big the selection is, and loop it / steps

I also just realised since its in a way a fixed angle, you can increase the angles by increasing the diff in the loop and removing every one pixel from the line, if you know what i mean Just a thought tho didnt really put it down in practice so maybe it wont work like that well

Genio!

Wait, that's huge.

Link?

Sick. Thanks dude

OH MY GOD

It's for aseprite???

Yeah, go to Files and Scripts to add more

People like you that make this kinds of scripts and also give them away for free are the true heroes

Tbh it's the first script I release and its simple enough that I'd feel bad charging for it lol

I know the feel, happened to me when I made my first game. It’s still is a pretty helpful tool tho, so thanks for being so nice!

I love you and this script so much

ty!!

Hey bro, sorry if this is a stupid question, but what program do you use for these projects? 😅 I've never seen it before, but it looks pretty useful.

you rock

Love the twist of adding another loop on top to improve Karpathy's loop

it works on libresprite? (free aseprite version)

If it uses the API too, it should work
