For the people wondering why I picked Star Cruiser instead of Sonic or Thunder Force: Both Starfox and Starcruiser are polygonal space games. The difference is that Starfox uses an enhancement chip and is a rail shooter while Star Cruiser is an open world RPG

Both systems slapped. Good Music was all over that generation

Yep absolutely

Easily Nintendo got the hottest track. Now play Final Fight music and Streets of Rage music.

That would be a hydrogen bomb vs a coughing baby

@OhRichard271 It's basically what we got here. Starfox got a mismatch lmao

@OhRichard271 Honestly not sure i agree there.

Star Cruiser

super nes chiptune more powerful than that of megadrive chiptune and the other things that are obvious

It may be more powerful, but I generally find Sega and PC Engine music more interesting.

???🙄(mega drive all accessories)It's the accessories that are killing Sega as a console developer.

How does that relate to what I said?

@St1ka This still doesn't say anything about the quality of both tracks.

@malerfique @St1ka LOL. Yeah. I was never that impressed with SNES music. But Sega's stuff? Some developers could really work some magic with that Yamaha chip.

@TTabularium @St1ka There's a reason why nobody buys Sega music, since it's not memorable (many people say that Mega Drive songs are bad). CD quality is sold separately for Sega.

I think it's clear who the real winner is in this competition:

What was Sega's

Star cruiser

Can we talk about how CLEAN is Sega's here? IDK if Nintendo's is the OG track, but Sega is so clear it blew it out of the water...

Generally speaking, SNES music was a bit muffled. I know there's a technical reason for it, but I have no idea what.

@St1ka Umu umu... Naruhodo...

Just as a side, the (unreleased?) game ResQ has a bonus stage that is even more Star Fox-like than Star Cruiser.

Here’s my personal favorite from Thunder Force 4

its not mine, but...

Star Fox does honestly feel like the most Sega game that Nintendo ever released

@swooper_d It's all Nintendo. Sega has more of a laid back tone which is still great.

Both systems had great music, but I love Sega Genesis' 16 bit, gritty, funky bass slapped chiptune the most.

I love Sonic more than Mario since that's what I grew uo with and I'm all about that rebelliousness and freedom amd not wacky goofy ass shit but damn Nintendo cooked with Star Fox, the Smash mix too? Chef's Kiss

A NEW WINNER

You should've chose phantasy zone for this

Man Star Cruiser music is sooooo much better 😂😂😂

If youre comparing the music of corneria against sega then check out Afterburner 2

It's Star Cruiser :)

Da fuq

What are these two tracks?

Star fox and star cruiser

Thanks legend

SNES slaps

Should been Zero Wing imo but its a cool lil meme

One had soul The other just made a Mario Galaxy movie

Nintendo

At least you didn't used the music from Star Fox that sounds like Afterburner. That would have been weird, right?

to be fair N has a separate audio chip S dose not. Found that out as I wanted to know why the sound on SF2 champion edition sounded so horrendous on the Genesis.🤔

Wow, the sega one gave me a headache
