Did you know the original The Legend of Zelda was first released on the Famicom Disk System, not NES? Because it came on a floppy disk format, it allowed players to SAVE their progress — a groundbreaking feature at the time. Later on, it was re-released in NES and Famicom cartridge form, and that’s probably the version most gamers experienced first. The floppy disk version of Zelda is originally yellow, but I swapped the shell using a gold cartridge from another game and made myself a golden Zelda floppy disk. Pretty cool, right?

I just went on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure for the first time, and here’s my first reactions and honest thoughts. I was fortunate enough to experience it for the first time with my own eyes and not through a POV, and I can confidently say that I loved it. Dedicating the last 5 months of my life to documenting this attraction was all worth it after going on it for the first time today. I have a new favorite attraction, and that attraction is Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. ❤️

It was such a unique time to be producing both a syndicated and network version of the same series in very different styles. Here’s the main title of the Saturday morning version. If I recall correctly, the cost of this main title was likely 5X the cost per minute of the series animation. That was traditionally the case.
