Made a quick (though apparently not Short enough for YouTube Shorts) video explaining my general thoughts on the reddit cybersecurity influencer post from earlier. Not going to comment on specific people mentioned though I think I've made it clear that I disagree with most. This is more my thoughts...

I am pleased to be included as some of the parting thoughts, thank you! So much of bEiNg A cOnTeNt cReAtOr is just flat out impossible for other people to understand without, ultimately, them doing it themselves. I suggest it to anyone who throws shade. 😘

If you watch this video on mute then you look like you have pre-programmed Skyrim NPC head movements

that's interesting, but what do you think of this?

This is pretty on point. It's hard to make a video on an advanced topic, sometimes. Especially if it's a bit more niche. If you explain every detail, the video is too long and boring for the target audience, and if you don't explain every detail, you exclude a lot of people.

Interesting take! Focusing on the broader topic of content creation and influencing sounds like a thoughtful approach. Do you think the cybersecurity space needs more educational content or critical discussions about "influencing"?

Sometimes, the type of content eligible for monetization determines what people produce to maximize their chances of profiting from it.

On YouTube at least, educational content is always monetizable, so I don't really get this argument. What advanced cybersecurity content is ineligible for monetization that is preventing people from making it?

Truth. I hate the term influencer as well , it's been used by those undeserving of the literal term. Great video!

As usual there’s always “experts” in everything on the internet given opinion on something they don’t understand, great video love the final quote.
