MAG7 STOCKS. DAY TRADING NOW LIVE.

1/ We just pushed a major upgrade to Ostium's trading engine, enabling day trading leverage on stocks, improved margin-based liquidations, and a series of performance improvements to ensure speedier and more reliable trade execution. First, stocks:

2/ STOCKS Ostium is now the first protocol anywhere — on- or off-chain — to enable traders to long/short Mag7 stocks with 100x leverage.

3/ DAY TRADING During market hours (9:31am-3:45pm ET), traders can open trades at up to 100x leverage, with a countdown timer until market close. Trades 10-100x lev close automatically at 3:45pm ET. Traders can add collateral to decrease lev <10x & hold positions overnight.

4/ MARGIN-BASED LIQUIDATIONS We've updated our system to liquidate at 25% margin, rather than based on % collat. down (which unfairly penalized low lev trades relative to high lev trades). For any lev level X, trades need [X/maxLev * 25%]% collateral to avoid liquidation.

5/ DISCRETE LEVERAGE LEVELS Add and remove collateral functions now add and remove amounts rounded to ensure discrete jumps in leverage levels (0.01x), with granularity e.g. 10x to 10.01x. This change patches an important precision issue in the contracts. We thank the community members who contributed and were rewarded with bounties.

6/ IMPROVEMENTS TO ORDER CANCELLATION Failed orders previously required users to navigate to the Orders tab & cancel orders before placing new ones the same asset w/ a failed order. This update removes this requirement, enabling users to directly cancel from the Trades tab.

7/ TP SHORT TRADE PATCH Take Profits on shorts below 9x leverage previously failed due to a computation issue. This has since been resolved.

8/ PARTIAL CLOSE ORACLE FEE A 0.50 USDC oracle fee was added for Partial Closes, canceling open Limit orders, and Remove Collateral orders. This was a patch to prevent potential keeper bot spamming. We thank the community members who contributed and were rewarded with bounties.

9/ PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS Keeper improvements were made to decrease the number of failed orders, particularly on Chainlink crypto feeds. Redis nodes were also upgraded to ensure no service overwhelm and prevent downtime.
