Exactly!!!! My mother and father who are now 82 years old who left their home state of Louisiana after attending College, but not yet graduated behind and fighting for Civil Rights fled to California. I was born during the Civil Rights movement in the 60’s, so I was too young to even understand what type of world I was born into until I experience it as an adolescent. Feeling the vibes, picking up innuendos, hearing negative words, seeing blatant racism! My parents educated us on what was then in their world being born in the 40’s, 50’s, their parents world who were born in the 20’s and their grandparents world coming out of antebellum Slavery as well as their great grand parents who went through absolute hell! So tell us when America was great?!!! When?! All we bronzed colored people who was once called “Negroes” (dubbed by the Portuguese due to the darker color of our skin, which was not are true name) and before then “IVRI,” is when we hear “make America great again,” we hear is “ make America white again” as if they lost their white pass to privilege during these last number of years!
