Aldynes for the PC Engine SuperGrafx (Produce Co./Hudson Soft/1991). Designed specifically for the SuperGrafx, it's a high quality shooter that includes ex-Irem (R-Type) staff on its team. The game is set in the year 2020 (!), and features impressively designed bosses. It was made available on the PlayStation Network in 2011 and apparently you can still access it if you have a Japanese PSN account and a PS3, PSP, and PS Vita. Also, it's pre-loaded on the physical TurboGrafx-16 Mini / PC Engine Mini.

A few days ago marked the 35th anniversary of the PC Engine Duo. It combined the PC Engine and CD-ROM² into a single console, offering incredible performance compared to its competitors at the time, the Mega Drive and Super Famicom. The PC Engine was released overseas under the name TurboGrafx-16, but perhaps because the system wasn’t fully prepared for the overseas market, far fewer games were released compared to Japan, which was a shame. As a CD-based console, it delivered things that simply weren’t possible with cartridges at the time—spectacular opening sequences, impressive graphics, and incredible CD-quality music and sound. It truly felt like something from another world back then, and even today, it still looks and sounds amazing.
