One of many British traditions that simultaneously manages to make me incredibly proud and remind me of Monty Python's Flying Circus. For those who haven't watched it yet: Do set aside time to see the 1989 documentary IN THE HIGHEST TRADITION.

The Welsh Guards annual March to lay a wreath at the Guards’ Memorial opposite Horse Guards. Both serving and retired officers and other ranks take part in the march. The wreath is laid by either a senior officer of the regiment or The Colonel, HRH the Prince of Wales.

@calvinrobinson Bloody marvellous! Men like this used to walk past our flat near London Bridge on their way to the City when I was a kid. I’ll never forget the pinstripe suits, bowler hats and umbrellas.
