That was until today - Jorden van Foreest defeated Magnus Carlsen in a wild battle in the 4th round of Tepe Sigeman Chess 2026! Jorden managed to outplay Magnus and create a winning advantage in a complicated multi-piece ending. The conversion was much, much harder - there were multiple moments where Magnus had an equal position according to the computers, but it was always very difficult for a human! Regarding the post-match handshake situation from yesterday's game, we would like to make a statement: Once Again Esports and our players respect every opponent and their team. The actual situation after the game yesterday was as follows: After the defeat, the players were still immersed in the emotions of losing. There was no post-match handshake during the rehearsal process the day before. And on top of this, it has been a year since the last match for our players. When Faker won Worlds back in 2013, many viewers might have been in elementary school. 12 years has passed since then. They have became college students, some graduated, even married with children, now carrying the weight of the society on their shoulders. Yet Faker remains, as if he's frozen in the river of time. Recently, I saw a comment online that said "Other people's college years were 2018 to 2021 but mine was 2022 to 2025." This line of self-deprecation struck heavily and clearly in the hearts of those who work in this industry. How I wish we could also have teams like this to bring beautiful memories to those college students, instead of regrets. I hope we can walk this path bravely, although slower but steadily. Only by moving forward one step at a time can we keep from wearing down the fan's expectations, making their youth a little less regretful and more beautiful. We can ensure that when they introduce this game and esports to their parents, classmates or friends, they can do it with pride rather than hesitation. Back in high school, anytime there was a Messi vs Ronaldo debate and we tried to explain why Messi was the greatest player of all time, the first thing Ronaldo fans would ask was, “Does he have any international trophies?” Messi had none at the time, so we were out there defending Olympic gold medals and the U-20 World Cup like they were the World Cup itself, just to survive the arguments. 😭 We endured the insults, the trolling, the endless mockery and the “international trophy” agenda for years. We never gave up. Today Messi has won every major international trophy available. Copa América, Finalissima, World Cup, you name it. Now suddenly the excuse is, “FIFA rigged it for Messi.” Come on, that’s nonsense. Messi suffered, failed, got criticized, lost finals, retired and came back before reaching where he is today. The funny thing is Messi fans haven’t even trolled Ronaldo fans the way Ronaldo fans trolled us back then. This is just light banter and suddenly people are drawing the line. 😂 After all those years of hearing “international trophies?”, allow us to enjoy this small moment in peace.

Counter Strike hacking is one of my guilty pleasures. This is a video of an AI tool built into one of the most popular HvH cheats on the market. HvH (Hack vs. Hack) is a game mode where everyone in the lobby is cheating. “If everyone is cheating, then how is it fun?” The game becomes something entirely different in this mode. Instead of focusing on physical reaction time, aim, and movement skills, players must concentrate on the quality of their cheats compared to those used by their opponents. The game essentially turns into a sandbox for software optimization, where cheaters compete against each other to see who has the better-written code and configuration. Players must use every tool available to keep up with everyone else in the scene. My favorite cheat, Anti-Aim (AA), is used to help protect players from getting shot by cleverly exploiting the game mechanics to fake the angle of their hitbox. It works by choking abs yaw packets to exploit a coding error in the game, causing your model’s position to appear bugged to other players. The server processes each command sent by the client in the order it receives them, then it updates animations for each command. After this, the server takes the latest information it has and sends it to other players. If you choke packets, you will essentially send all of your choked commands at the same time. Again, the server will look at what’s latest and send that to other players. Now, you should see the issue clearly: the client is missing loads of information and will start updating animations with incorrect information. This will lead to numerous inaccuracies in their animation state, most importantly their abs yaw (m_flGoalFeetyaw), which indicates where their feet are pointing. The creation of Anti-aim techniques significantly disrupted gameplay, giving users an extra unfair advantage. This compelled players to devise a solution— Resolvers are used to counter anti-aim by determining where the player’s hitbox actually is. One commonly used type of resolver is the old angle resolver. Old angle resolvers work by storing the previous angles from when the player wasn’t faking their position and later shooting at them. —forcing both sides—Anti-Aim developers and Resolver developers—to continuously improve their code and technique. HvH is an ever-evolving arms race where staying ahead is as much about innovation as it is about execution. Code rules all, and hitting p is the only goal. That’s what keeps me coming back.
