I can’t say it enough - US rural/farm land is the most undervalued asset in the world and it's not close. Mountainous areas are top of list. I look to buy well located rural/farm land in the path of growth. Close to an interstate. Within 45 min of a major hospital. Sometimes sandwiched between two major cities. It is absolutely mind blowing to me that someone can buy hundreds or even thousands of acres in the most powerful country on earth for <$1 sq ft Land is scarce all over the world and this will continue to be the case for yrs to come I truly believe there's absolutely no substitute to owning large amounts of land in the US

No-one with a heart and a soul can listen to this and say that introducing 400,000 homes, 1m people (& cats/dogs) plus cars, roads, industrial parks and commerce centres to countryside is good for nature. The ‘forest city’ in West Suffolk is a giant get-rich scam that will displace humans and nature from 45,000 acres of best farmland in a water-stressed region (and no one knows how to fill the Fens reservoir). Plus they want pylons across East Anglia to the coast, which is hugely environmentally destructive. Leave East Anglia alone - or support farm clusters and wildlife charities instead.

23 Years of Tiger Massacre: International Poacher Kalya Bawariya (Aadin Singh) Still Active Through Network The Madhya Pradesh Forest Department arrested an international wildlife trafficker, Kalya Bawariya, last year. He was a resident of Karauli district in Rajasthan and had been involved in this criminal activity for the past 23 years. This man, along with his gang, was responsible for wiping out the tigers of Sariska. At that time, he was working under the notorious international trafficker Sansarchand. He virtually emptied Sariska of tigers. He also carried out indiscriminate poaching of almost all tigers in the Ranthambore-2 and Karauli ranges, and a significant number of tigers in Ranthambore itself. During that period, Sariska had been reduced to zero tigers, while Ranthambore was left with just 16 tigers when it received the status of a Tiger Reserve. Later, after becoming the most wanted criminal in Rajasthan’s forest department, Kalya Bawariya fled the state and continued operating his gang through local small-time traffickers in the Gadchiroli districts of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, as well as in Chhattisgarh. During interrogation, he confessed to poaching 50 tigers and over 100 leopards in recent years. These hunts involved local hunters from Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra. However, many of these poachers are still operating underground and continue to harm wildlife. A large number of police and forest department personnel are also allegedly involved in this network, yet both the Forest and Police departments have so far failed to apprehend these wildlife criminals and their sleeper cells. Rio de Janeiro just became the first city in the world to start reforesting itself with AI drones and the more i read about how it works the cooler it gets: the reason a city would even need this is that dead land is brutally hard to bring back when cattle farming or mining wrecks a piece of land, the soil turns hard and dry and basically dies. left alone it can stay like that for decades the only fix used to be huge crews planting seedlings by hand. one person covers about a hectare a day. at that pace a real forest takes years and a fortune, so most wrecked land just stays dead the company Rio hired is called MORFO. their answer is one drone plus an AI model doing the work of that entire crew it starts with the drone scanning the whole area from above from that scan, the AI studies the soil, the water, the slope, the plants already growing nearby it uses all of that to pick which native species have the best shot at surviving in each exact spot, choosing from a catalog of 300+ local plants once it knows what goes where, the drone flies back over and fires biodegradable seed pods into the ground, 180 every minute each pod holds seeds, nutrients, moisture. a little starter kit for surviving in dead soil flying like that, one drone covers up to 50 hectares a day. the work of a 50-person planting crew and it actually works. they tested it on Brazilian pasture that years of cattle farming had killed. a few months after planting, that same land had grass, bushes, small trees growing again the system keeps learning after the drones leave too. satellites watch what actually grows back, so each new project starts smarter than the last my favorite detail: the AI even decides where NOT to plant it left 16% of one 8,420-hectare site untouched because it detected the forest there was already regrowing on its own easily one of the coolest AI applications i've seen this year

Meta just launched its 1st image model after Mark Zuckerberg’s AI shake-up. Muse Image is Meta Superintelligence Labs' first image generator after Muse Spark. They said the model will power new editing features in Meta’s Instagram photo app and be added to its marketer tools for creating platform ads. Meta had relied on Midjourney and Black Forest Labs for generation inside Meta AI. Muse Image brings that layer in-house, so Meta controls quality, cost, and product timing. Consumers get free access through Meta AI, WhatsApp chats, and Instagram Stories. Power users need Meta One or another monthly plan when free limits run out. Users can start from prompts, add photos, annotate edits, or sketch changes directly. Meta says it can erase photobombers, create QR codes, and keep visual text readable.
