If you turn on the news right now, you’d think the Texas State Board of Education just replaced every teacher's desk with an altar. Here is the actual truth: You CAN’T UNDERSTAND Western civilization without the Bible. That’s what Texas did. It's not indoctrination. It's requiring students to learn about stories and passages that are even more foundational to our society than Charles Dickens and Shakespeare. In fact, so much about classic literature and our Founding Documents is lost to us without an understanding of the Bible. There’s no forced prayer or mandatory religious exercises. Texas isn't trying to force a faith. They want to teach children about the bedrock upon which the entire West was built. The media is in a full panic because they know exactly what happens when the American people rediscover this foundation and rediscover their story: all of their progressive work is gone. They want a generation of untethered, anxious strangers who don't know the book that built the house they live in.

Too many people want to rush through reading the bible, just so they can say they've read the whole bible. But, you're supposed to study the bible, digest the word, live by the word. I want you to read the bible, but I want you to study & comprehend at your own pace.
