Osman Hadi worked as a teacher at a private university. He was preparing for the GRE and was planning to go abroad. During the period of fascism, people of Bangladesh felt like suppressed in their own country. Then July came, and Osman Hadi joined the July movement with his pregnant wife. By the end of July, political parties began to calculate their shares, and mass people returned home. But Osman Hadi stayed behind. Leaving his pregnant wife at home, he traveled from city to city and port to port, building the Inqilab Manch later Inqilab Cultural Centre Osman Hadi dreamed of a cultural revolution to awaken the Bengali Muslim cultural identity from Indian hegemony. During this time, Brother Hadi’s beautiful child was born. Even looking at his innocent child, Brother Hadi did not return home. He took upon his shoulders all the burdens of society and all of our responsibilities. He dreamed of building a Bangladesh based on justice and fairness. In this anti-domination march, Brother Hadi raised the very first flag with his own hands. Finally, Brother Hadi left us. How will Bangladesh bear the weight of such a heavy coffin? Brother Hadi, you have left us indebted to you. Your struggle was for us, for our unborn future, for our children. Brother Hadi, perhaps you did not even hold your ten-month-old child in your arms for ten hours. Today we held a ceremony at the UN in memory of Shiri, Kfir and Ariel Bibas, as well as Oded Lifshitz. Dozens of ambassadors from all over the world were in attendance. I thank the Ambassador of Argentina, Francisco Fabián Tropepi, who spoke at the event, and I thank all the attendees who came to honor their memory and sign the condolence book. The UN has not condemned Hamas to date. We will not be silent. We will continue to fight against terrorism and tell the stories of those we have lost.
