🚨 DHS/ICE PAUSES MOST VEHICLE STOPS AFTER MAINE & TEXAS INCIDENTS, ANTI-ICE PROTESTS ERUPT Following two fatal shootings involving agents in under a week, ICE is temporarily scaling back vehicle stops for additional training. Agents will still target serious offenders. Maine anti-ICE activists are singing outside facilities and calling for investigations/abolition. Some Maine Democrats running for Senate (including to replace Graham’s seat) are pushing to abolish ICE entirely. Senator Susan Collins: “ICE needs to improve... but those calling to abolish it are ignoring vital safety work.” Acting ICE leadership says the pause is for safety, but critics worry it emboldens radicals trying to subvert enforcement. We need strong borders and backed-up agents, not more restrictions that tie their hands. Law and order first.

Florida man killed during ICE traffic stop—same day agents were ordered to pause vehicle stops. 28-year-old man was hit by semi-truck. He jumped out of his car and fled on foot—after agents followed him to gas station. ICE claims it was an "encounter"—not a true traffic stop. This is the third death that occurred during a vehicle pursuit in traffic—in just the past week. ICE has supposedly ordered a temporary nationwide pause on most vehicle stops. The identity of the man and his citizenship status have not been released. Incident occurred on State Road 16 in St. Augustine, Florida.

🚨 PRESIDENT TRUMP OVERRULES ICE TRAFFIC STOP PAUSE: “WE CANNOT GIVE UP ONE OF THEIR MOST IMPORTANT TOOLS!” After a brief hold following two fatal ICE-involved shootings, Trump posted: “We cannot give up traffic stops... we are playing right into the criminal’s hands. The Radical Left would like to see this done, but it won’t happen on my watch.” DHS and ICE now emphasizing officers need all options to stay safe while removing criminals. One case: Suspect in Maine tried to flee (not the target). Another in Texas: Mexican national with meth in the van. Back to work. Enforce the law, protect agents, secure the border. No more hand-tying.

Maine Senators Angus King and Susan Collins spoke to reporters on Tuesday about the fatal ICE shooting of a 25-year-old Colombian national in their state, which marked the second time in a week that ICE officers have used deadly force in the U.S. The officers were not wearing body cameras. “It’s a tragedy on several levels,” King said. “This is a shameful process. It’s tragic.”
