Remember all of the Republicans who celebrated when President Trump signed the USMCA trade agreement with Canada and Mexico? In case you don’t, here is Trump telling everybody how great that trade deal was. Trump’s new tariffs on Canada and Mexico strictly go against the tariff-free principles enshrined in the USMCA. But again, Republicans will celebrate like it’s some great move. They will celebrate anything and everything that Trump does no matter what, even if it hurts them and their families.

Are the media in Canada finally tiring of the non answers & non transparency of the Liberals? Dominic LeBlanc is visibly annoyed with this important question being asked. Listen to his answer & then listen to where he takes it. It was about trade with the US, but when you think that breaking down trade barriers within Canada is going to somehow replace trade with the US things aren’t going well with these negotiations. And how long have they been breaking down these barriers for now? Over a year.

COMPANIES ARE STARTING TO LEAVE USA FOR CANADA. INVESTORS SEEK STABILITY Canada is attracting substantial investment from around the world. Including investment that used to go to USA. (1) Companies & investors don’t like USA’s relentless instability. (2) Companies & investors don’t like the REALITY that their company & assets (on USA soil) could be sanctioned / stolen on a moments notice with any excuse the USA govt deems appropriate. (3) The domestic USA consumer market is shrinking. USA citizens have substantially less to spend - their purchasing ability is dramatically decreasing. While China & some of the global south’s domestic markets are rapidly expanding. (4) Manufacturing in USA is simply not profitable. It just isn’t. Nor is it innovative. Nor is it competitive. And based on statistics as well as performance, some of it has questionable reliability safety records. (5) There is an increasing tendency for govts to reduce trade exposure to USA. That includes reducing imports from USA, particularly when it comes to China. (6) Their is a growing trend for citizens - around the world - to make a point of not purchasing USA products or anything made in USA. (7) China is NOT using Canada as a tool or proxy to attack USA markets through what’s called trans shipping. Canada has never allowed that. Mexico has in the past done so. But Mexico has changed their policies & shipping/manufacturing so it’s no longer an issue in Mexico either. But that doesn’t stop USA from resorting to the China demonization tactic. USA knows they can’t compete with China so they’re trying to destroy them instead. (8) The only thing USA really has going for it right now is tech & AI. But let’s be real. USA plans to “weaponize” their AI/tech the same way they’ve weaponized the dollar system against anyone that doesn’t do exactly what they want or doesn’t sign one sided trade deals that mostly benefit the USA at their expense. Same game. Different playing field…
