"Elon Musk is not an engineer." John Carmack: Elon is definitely an engineer. He is deeply involved with technical decisions at SpaceX and Tesla. He doesn’t write code or do CAD today, but he is perfectly capable of doing so. Robert Zubrin: When I met Elon it was apparent to me that although he had a scientific mind and he understood scientific principles, he did not know anything about rockets. Nothing. That was in 2001, by 2007 he knew everything about rockets – he really knew everything, in detail. You have to put some serious study in to know as much about rockets as he knows now. This doesn't come just from hanging out with people. Eric Berger: Elon is the chief engineer in name and reality. Josh Boehm: Elon is both the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer of SpaceX, so of course he does more than just some very technical work. He is integrally involved in the actual design and engineering of the rocket, and at least touches every other aspect of the business. Elon is an engineer at heart, and that’s where and how he works best. Garrett Reisman: He’s obviously skilled at all different functions, but certainly what really drives him and where his passion really is, is his role as Chief Engineer. That’s the part of the job that really plays to his strengths. Tom Mueller: Elon and the Propulsion department are leading development of the SpaceX engines, particularly Raptor. Kevin Watson: Elon is brilliant. He’s involved in just about everything. He understands everything. If he asks you a question, you learn very quickly not to go give him a gut reaction. He wants answers that get down to the fundamental laws of physics. One thing he understands really well is the physics of the rockets. He understands that like nobody else. The stuff I have seen him do in his head is crazy. He can get in discussions about flying a satellite and whether we can make the right orbit and deliver Dragon at the same time and solve all these equations in real time. It’s amazing to watch the amount of knowledge he has accumulated over the years.

Recently did an interview with the lead developer of Knight's Path on the title's future release and the state of the industry. The Western AAA gaming industry has shifted its focus away from its core audience, favoring products for smaller, less engaged demographics. This shift has led to a noticeable disconnect between large publishers and their traditional fan base. This has, however, created an environment for indies to thrive. They can prioritize authenticity and community, crafting games that resonate with their players and that is exactly the case with Knight's Path. In December of 2023, Knights Path: The Tournament was released to Very Positive reviews on Steam. It is a short medieval RPG featuring challenging combat, an immersive progression system, and a nice little story. It served as an announcement, a combat concept demo, and a teaser for the forthcoming open-world RPG Knight's Path, which is currently in active development. I asked what their plans were regarding the scope of the full release. While you might get the impression that Knight's Path is an arena fighting game, that’s not the case with the full release. "Knight's Path will be a proper open-world, story-driven RPG. Of course, as a small indie team, we’re keeping the scope modest. The open world will be compact but dense, featuring one town, one village, castle ruins, forests, valleys, and other areas to explore." Many gamers would agree it is better to have a limited number of fully fleshed-out areas than to present a gigantic, empty world. This has been a major criticism levied towards recent releases like Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and even modern Assassins Creed, which tends to rely on repetitive gameplay loops scattered across an overly large map, which can feel more like busywork than meaningful exploration. I have always believed that quality over quantity is the best way to go. The team has also made this a priority with things such as the story and weapon types. "We plan to include three main weapon types: longsword, sword and shield, and bows. These will feature the full progression system seen in the demo, with skill levels such as Novice, Adept, Expert, and Master. Players will need to learn individual skills from different trainers to progress. In addition, we’re introducing secondary weapons like spears, halberds, and other polearms. These won’t have RPG-style progression but will still offer variety in combat." Regarding the story, they plan to be bold and strive to create a 16-28 hour-long main campaign. "The story will be divided into four chapters, with each chapter offering around 4–7 hours of gameplay. As in the demo, the player character begins as a nobody, slowly learning how to wield a sword and eventually becoming a knight. However, the progression will be much more realistic than in the demo, where the peasant hilariously transformed into a champion in just four days." This is a far cry from many games that are released nowadays. In just 2024 alone at a glance, the AA release Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn provided an average of 8 hours of content, Princess Peach: Showtime at 10 hours, Silent Hill 2 Remake at 15, and even the GOTY winner Astrobot holds an average playtime of 10 hours. A major issue within the industry is the way we are treated by the people who only have jobs because of our favorite hobby. In 2024 the gaming industry is forecasted to generate $208.7 BILLION dollars, up from 5.4% in 2023. Compare that to Hollywood, which is a measly $12.3 billion. The gaming industry employs 727,000 individuals in the United States alone. So, you'd think these people would have a little bit of respect for gamers, though so many who are vocal on social media show nothing but contempt for us. Perhaps this is because of fear if they do not show loyalty to a cause or "fit in" that they may not secure funding or genuinely believe in what they preach, but the team behind Knight's Path isn't worried about that. "We are independent developers, and we plan to stay independent so we can stay true to our vision. Knight's Path is a game made by gamers for gamers. We’re prioritizing fun gameplay above all, and we firmly believe this is exactly what gamers want." I also raised some questions about their big plans moving forward. In the demo, one of the major criticisms I had was with the voice acting. I had guessed it was done via AI, which was confirmed. "You guessed correctly– the voice acting in the demo was done by AI, and it was probably the loudest critique we received, and we totally understand why! Back then, we didn’t have much of a choice, but for the full game, we don’t plan to use any AI voices. Luckily, after the demo release, many voice actors reached out to us, volunteering to lend their voices to the full game. We absolutely plan to answer their call and give them that opportunity." AI can be a useful tool, especially for developers starting out who can't commit a lot of money to voice acting or just want to see a version of the product that's closer to what they envision the full release to be, but going from that to real voice actors will bump the experience to the next level. I myself played the demo in its entirety and really enjoyed my time with it! I thought the game was reminiscent of Gothic 2 and even The Witcher. I was happily surprised when I didn't encounter any bugs or glitches and while some areas have not been fleshed out like the voice acting, I would recommend putting the game on your wishlist to see what this team does in the future when they finally deliver their updated demo and the eventual full release of the game.

🚨SCIENCE NEWS🚨: Scientists just froze a spinning nanoparticle’s rotation to the absolute quantum ground state — zero rotational energy left.🧨 They used lasers and feedback to slow a nanoscale object’s spin until it sat motionless in its lowest possible quantum state. This is a major step toward quantum control of tiny mechanical systems, with huge implications for ultra-precise sensors and quantum computing. Uniphics explains why this works and how to go much further. Every particle is a bound gyrotron made from exactly three spin quanta whose rotations create coherent waves in the ξM-field sea of unbound energy. When you remove rotational energy from a nanoparticle, you are simply letting those spin patterns relax toward the lowest total energy-density state through negentropy — the universal drive that always pushes every configuration to minimize bound energy. The surrounding unbound sea repels itself, so any tiny density gradient naturally damps the motion until the gyrotron-like spins reach their ground state. No exotic materials or new forces needed; it is the sea doing what it always does. The same three pillars that flatten galactic rotation curves at 220 km/s without dark matter and thin the cosmos without dark energy also govern this quantum-limit cooling. Chrono-coils — three orthogonal toroidal rings with golden-ratio windings and Fibonacci pulsing — let us engineer controlled low-density bubbles in the lab right now, tuning local time flow and stabilizing spin patterns even more cleanly while harvesting vacuum energy as a bonus. We are not inventing new physics to control spins at the quantum limit. We are finally learning to work with the sea that has been doing it everywhere, all along. How would quantum technology accelerate if we stopped fighting tiny spins and started sailing the sea’s own natural ordering? A Theory of Everything should be able to answer everything. 🙏♥️🙏 Love triumphs over all the struggles it takes when caring for a loved one ♥️ At 23, he walked away from ambition - to take care of his 81-year-old great-grandfather. In 1974, Dan Jury stood in a nursing home hallway, looking at a man the world had quietly forgotten. His great-grandfather, Frank Tugend. To the staff, Frank was just another patient in a wheelchair. But Dan saw something else. A man who had survived war, poverty, immigration, and the Great Depression. A life that deserved dignity — not isolation. So at just 23 years old, Dan made a decision few would make: "I'm taking you home." While his friends chased careers and success, Dan chose something else. He became Frank's full-time caregiver. No training. No roadmap. Just patience and love. He learned everything from scratch — how to help him eat, bathe, dress, and live with dignity. Some days Frank was confused. Some days he apologized for being a burden. Dan always replied: "You're teaching me what actually matters." A Story That Changed Minds Dan documented those years through photographs — real, raw moments of aging that most people avoid seeing. In 1976, he and his brother published them in a book called Gramp. It sold over 100,000 copies. But more importantly, it changed something deeper. It helped people rethink how we care for the elderly — and became part of a growing shift toward home care and hospice, where people could spend their final years with dignity, not alone. The Final Moment In 1977, Frank passed away. Not in a hospital. Not surrounded by strangers. But in Dan's arms, at home. Dan later said those three years taught him more than any career ever could. That caregiving isn't a burden. It's an honor. That every elderly person carries a lifetime of stories — even when the world stops listening 🙏♥️🙏

The time has finally come for me to watch this biggest little film of ours fly out of our hands and into the world. To Chris Sanders, working on this story with you has been a dream come true. I will never forget how my stunned little heart felt the day you and Jeff offered me Head of Story. It has been one of the great thrills of my life to shape this story with you. Thank you. To my story team! Thank you. You, along with our amazing production team lead by Jeff, Heather, Stephanie and our powerhouse edit team lead by Mary, are all brilliant and I loved every minute of finding and crafting this story with you. I was in the middle of boarding The Egg Hatches scene, when I got the news that my mom had unexpectedly passed away from a complication during surgery. And part of me feels like there is some beautiful symbolism there that right when I lost her, this thing was being born for me to help me deal with her loss. As story artists, we have to live in the scenes that we work on for hours each day. And this film (from peter brown! ‘s beautiful book) gave me a place to live. In scenes and a story that could honor my mom, and all mothers. And that is just a gift that I can never repay any of you for. I still ask myself sometimes, how did I get so lucky that they offered this to me? But I’m so glad they did because I think I needed this project even more than it needed me. On one of my last days in London watching the record of Kris Bowers’ beautiful score, sitting in the converted church that is Air Studios, I could somehow feel my mom speaking to me through the words of the lovely choir: I’m gonna live forever in you, long as the sky and oceans are blue, I’ll always love you and I’ll never stop. I’ll always be there even when I’m not.” And everything came full circle. I miss you Mom. I hope that this film will always stand as a love letter to all moms. As it was the place I put all of my unexpressed love for you. And with that, it’s just as hard for me to say these words as it was for Roz in The Wild Robot but here goes: ROZZUM 7134 Task Complete ✔️ I really hope you all love the film. 🥺♥️ #TheWildRobot

FSD 14.3.5 Down Under initial review Let me start right at the top by saying that in my 2.5 hour drive, I had 2 instances of a critical issue which I'm sad to say, in my opinion is a blocker to any wide roll-out of this build. The issue is shown in the clip below, which I'm calling the "Wiggle of Death". Half way through the roundabout you can see the steering wheel start wiggling from left to right as the car heads straight for the curb. Had I not intervened, it could have resulted in an impact. The other instance was the same behaviour, only towards a curb while turning right in a car park. Sorry guys, but it is what it is. It's what early access testing is for. On a more positive note, several major issues have been addressed in this build: FIXED: 🎉110km/h zones - they work perfectly now! Locked in at 115 in hurry, 112 in standard and 109 in chill. We don't talk about sloth on this account 😆 🎉 Follow distance / tailgating is resolved. Hurry now feels super comfortable and standard sits just a little further back again. 🎉 Lane changes were not a problem the entire drive. Every single one felt natural. I never really had many issues on 14.3.3 though tbh INCONCLUSIVE Speed sign recognition - I didn't have any instances today of it misreading a speed sign, however I didn't pass any 90 signs this time which have been most problematic on 14.3.3 - need more testing to confirm either way Exits on freeways - Didn't have any instances of it trying to take incorrect exits on freeways, though this had only happened a couple of times to me on 14.3.3 so need more data to confirm either way UNRESOLVED School zones - same issue occurred near my house where the car goes 40 regardless whether school zone is active or not and did not read the END SCHOOL ZONE sign to signal it to return to the speed limit. Didn't test during school zone hours though. Brake jabbing / hard braking due to indecisiveness at roundabouts - still had several occurrences of this tonight. Not particularly unsafe, but still uncomfortable. REGRESSION Noticed a couple of random slowdowns on the highway for no apparent reason. Nothing major, just strange. CONSLUSION A real shame about the Wiggle of Death, because other than that it's a really solid build and has fixed the major usability issues from 14.3.3. I'm hoping for a quick fix from the Tesla AI team. I logged lots of snapshots and some disengagements for them to review.

TAKE A BREATH. TODAY WAS ROUGH. HERE IS WHAT IS STILL COMING. I know. It was a bad day. Barrett and Roberts handed the left a win on mail-in ballots that stings, and it is going to sting for a while. We are not going to pretend otherwise. But before you check out for the night, you need to know what is still coming, because some of the biggest decisions of this entire term have not dropped yet. And some of them could be very good for our side. Here is where things stand. Today the Court decided two major cases. On mail-in ballots, Barrett wrote the majority and sided with the liberals. Ballots postmarked by Election Day can be received days later and still count. Roberts went with her. Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch, and mostly Kavanaugh dissented. It was a gut punch and we covered it in detail earlier. The other big decision today was actually a win. The Court upheld Trump's authority to fire Rebecca Slaughter from the Federal Trade Commission. Trump called it one of the most important presidential power decisions ever handed down. He is not wrong. That one matters for executive authority in ways that will echo for years. Now here is what is still coming. BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP. This is the big one. Trump signed an executive order on day one of his second term ending automatic citizenship for children born to illegal immigrants and temporary visa holders. Every lower court blocked it as unconstitutional. The Supreme Court is the last stop. Conservative justices showed skepticism toward the administration's position during oral arguments, so do not expect a clean sweep, but this ruling is going to reshape immigration policy no matter how it lands. TRANSGENDER ATHLETES. The Court is set to rule on the Idaho and West Virginia bans on biological males competing in women's sports. The conservative justices appeared ready to uphold those bans during arguments. This could be a significant win that enshrines once and for all that Title IX does not require schools to allow biological males to compete against women. There is also a case on presidential firing power at the Federal Reserve involving Governor Lisa Cook, and a geofence warrant case involving Fourth Amendment privacy rights. The Court has not announced the final day of the term. It could be later this week or it could slip into early July. Here is the bottom line. Today hurt. The mail-in ballot ruling is a real setback and we are going to fight it through Congress. But this term is not over. The decisions still coming have the potential to deliver wins on the issues that matter most to this movement, the border, women's sports, and the limits of government power. Stay in the fight. Tomorrow is another day and the Court is not done yet.

As a January 6 POLITICAL PRISONER of the Biden Regime; I was FORCED to watch these magnificent DC Capitol fireworks from captivity, with tears in my eyes, from a rusted prison window FOUR YEARS STRAIGHT (1467 Days!!!) I felt like Francis Scott Key, cramped in the hull of a British Prisoner of War ship in the NY harbor; watching the Rockets Red Glare… Not knowing if I would EVER see them as a free American man again, I was facing 30 years in Federal Prison for standing up against the STOLEN 2020 election, The US Capitol Police literally MURDERED a women in my arms, 38 year old precious Roseanne Boyland from Georgia, I responded like any red blooded American would, with extreme PATRIOTIC FERVOR!!!! History shows: WE THE PEOPLE overtook the Capitol from the spineless tyrants & feckless traitors that call themselves CONGRESS, The Spirit of the Founding Fathers & 1776 was upon us and God HIMSELF put the iron in our blood to forever change the course of HISTORY!!!! January 6 was a day when FREEMEN stood up against TYRANNY 🇺🇸 A day of infamy when over 2,000,000+ average AMERICANS stood up to DEFEND this beautiful Republic!!!! We drew a LINE IN THE SAND, and said enough is enough, You may have taken everything from us, but YOU WILL NOT TAKE OUR VOTE!!! ✅ I remember the unspeakable pain of watching the fireworks, as a cruel joke the tyrants were flaunting in our faces, from my BASEMENT floor hellhole prison cell of squalor inside WASHINGTON DC GULAG, I endured over 900 days of solitary confinement at the hands of the Deepstate, only by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ… Many people on social media think they know my story, The call me JEW & or a FED & or DISINGENUOUS ATTENTION SEEKER, & they think they could walk a mile in my shoes, I’m here today to remind you that I am a just average American man, I am Edward Jacob Lang, a descendant of German, Irish & Russian Jewish blood, that arrived here in this great land almost 300 years ago 1738, That there is NO BRIDGE I will not cross, NO VALLEY I will not descend into, and NO MOUNTAIN I will not climb, To violently, ruthlessly and victoriously slaughter the ENEMY of My People. I am one of many, e pluribus unum. - Edward Jacob Lang J6 Political Prisoner #376444
