Make Citi Bike affordable again

Misguided, a regular bike is still free with a membership and works very well. Price caps and extra government will just lead to system decay and more people flooding into cars

Citibike is $200/year w Lyft pink. It’s $5/months for low income. Can’t beat that. It’s like $0.30 a trip on the classic Citibike for daily commuters. So, not an issue. (E-bikes are very expensive to maintain and charge)

Citibike is run by a for profit company on public infra (street, parking), and if they are able to run it cheaper elsewhere, then by demand to put taxpayers dollars to it? I don’t know the details of the deal but NYC should have set price increase caps instead

i'm sorry, but the best things about citi bike why it is privately funded. i own my bike and hang it from the ceiling of my hallway. otherwise i get around walking and by subway bus. why should i pay more ny taxes to subsidize other people who don't own & store their own bike.

@NYCMayor If you want to make any city better, get rid of any number of cars. And making alternate transportation cheaper helps with that purpose. Don't make me explain why even getting rid of 1 car helps.
