You're absolutely right. Because all the able bodied people in my IRL tell me to push through my chronic illnesses. And I recall all the disabled and chronically ill friends & experts I've met online that say no that's not right. I need to rest or seek medical attention.

She’s right. When you have cancer, some hospitals have cancer friends this is important for sharing medical information and things that help side effects. This is so for all disabilities and I wish there were programs for it for disabled people.

The ableds don’t be believing me when I tell them I can’t do certain things with them and it makes for a horrible time.

@xoJoyBelleox “Disabled adults are not supposed to exist” is one of the most heartbreaking perspectives I’ve ever heard. We have FAILED as humans.

I need more disabled friends. My friend circle is pretty much empty & would love to have some like minded folks to talk about disability issues so if you’re disabled please follow me! 🙏 I always follow back!

It may be if your doctor didn’t provide this information your friend did, maybe it’s time for a second opinion

This makes me wonder if my brother's issues with swallowing were related to his CP and not mentally like he was told.

this is why WE have to hone, create and store our own knowledge which could be a wiki. or (online/in person) support groups. This was done in the 1970s by psychiatric survivors in the UK and Drs bought this document made by activists.(
