Hello everyone. I've been working every day on my port of Mega Man II SNES 16-BIT. I'd like to showcase the following video, what I have to do in order for the giant BG fish in Bubble Man's stage, to disappear in 16-BIT mode. I like how in Mega Man X, a defeated enemy will have it's image fluctuate from being present on the screen, to not being present on the screen during it's destruction, this happens every other frame. I needed to do something like that in my situation, since I'm using multiple BG layers, and if I simply do what the original 1988 version does, a simple palette fade to blue like the water, the bg image of the fish will still be present. So I've had to create alot of custom asm for the destruction, and non drawing, of the defeated giant bg fish. 1: create new death sequence by modifying the tilemap where the giant fish is located, and alternate it's tileset via a DMA buffer with it's tiles in 1 frame, and blank tiles in another frame 2: at the end of the death sequence, create a flag in ram indicating one of the bg giant fish (there are 2) has been defeated 3: modify the games level construction engine, to read against defeated fish flag to see if it's set, if not, allow the original 16x16 blocks to be drawn, it set, bypass the original 16x16 blocks for bg giant fish and replace with a blank 16x16 block 4: clear defeated bg fish flags when you get a game over, or when bubble man is defeated All of that I've had to code, just for that, heh.

This tiny soy sauce fish might be one of the smartest sustainability upgrades I’ve seen in packaging lately. It looks small, but the design thinking behind it is anything but. After five years of development, Heliograf created a soy sauce container made from sugarcane bagasse that breaks down in home compost in just 6 weeks. That means a familiar single use format now has a far better ending. What makes this so strong is that it keeps the fish shaped design people already know and the squeeze function they expect. But it improves the experience with a larger 12mL capacity, solving one of the biggest annoyances of the original plastic version. The smartest part is that this is not just a material swap. Restaurants can fill the soy sauce on site, which can mean fresher product and less transport related waste. That is what good sustainable packaging looks like. It does not only reduce harm, it improves the system and the user experience at the same time. Since 2020, Heliograf has reportedly helped eliminate over 32 tonnes of ocean plastic, or about 32 million plastic soy sauce fish. That is a reminder that real change often starts with the smallest overlooked object. The bigger lesson here is simple. Sustainability is not about sacrifice, it is about smarter design choices that make the product better from start to finish. What a Day for the people of Ol Kalou! The people of Ol Kalou deserve development, and that is exactly what they are getting this time. While some are busy talking about speed boats and exchanging IDs, we are on the ground delivering projects that will change lives for generations. The Last Mile Electrification Project is now underway at Kambi Minyore village, Ol Kalou Constituency where 96 households will soon be connected to the national grid. Combined with the improved access roads, this investment will open up the area for business, improve education and healthcare, and help farmers move their produce to market with ease. Those who thought these communities would continue surviving on endless promises can now see the work taking place with their own eyes. At Gwa Kiongo Dam, we launched transformative Blue Economy and irrigation programmes that are turning the dam into a source of jobs and income. More than 80 fisherfolk received 15,000 quality fish fingerlings, fish cages, fishing boats, fish feeds, and safety gear to begin commercial fish farming. We also commissioned solar-powered irrigation pumps that will support year-round farming and higher food production. Those dismissing these interventions as politics should explain to our youth why they oppose projects that create jobs and put money into people's pockets. The inspection of the Mirangine Dam Irrigation Project showed the scale of what is coming. Once complete, the project will irrigate 500 acres in two phases, benefit over 1,000 farmers, and support up to three cropping seasons every year. We also distributed 20,000 fish fingerlings as part of the wider plan to expand aquaculture. The people of Ol Kalou and Nyandarua at large can see the difference and have understood that development is no longer a campaign slogan it is happening now, and no amount of noise will stop the transformation reaching our villages. Those who have nothing to offer will always try to discredit development because they cannot compete with results. It is important to elect a leader who can open more doors for our people and ensure every village gets its fair share of development. That is why Ol Kalou needs a leader who knows how to bring development home. Electing Muchina as your Member of Parliament means choosing a leader who will work closely with the Government to attract more roads, electricity, irrigation, water projects, youth empowerment programmes, and investments that improve people's lives.
