This is not mental illness no matter how many times people may try to spin it that way. This is what we call demonic possession. It's real and far more common than people want to believe. Nearly every single person on this Earth knows somebody who is demonically possessed, and they don't even realize it.

These are real people who have had plastic surgery, implants, etc. Too bad those who remove thier nose are gonna have breathing problems. the nose they remove protects them but now its gone. you have hair in your nostrils to keep germs from going inside you. and no cartiledge to protect your nose from injury.
