Cleaner, sharper edges.

Nice.

@pr0ud_americans I could watch this stuff for an hour at least.

@pr0ud_americans Exactly.

The video is cut short, but if you watch the entire video, they keep cutting until they end up with a toothpick.

I find it hard to believe it takes that much scrap wood to produce a 4x4

The log-flipper arms impressed me as much as the rest of it. Pretty great that nobody has to put their body parts near that thing.

Spoiler alert

We have a closed Hardwood Mill , when they fired up everything electrical went whaaaa for a few minutes like AC on 220 kicked in😂 I’m 14 miles from the place. I kinda miss it. Rural Co-op electric!

Very interesting.

It’s a lot of Tree farming here, mostly pine for pulpwood, Cardboard production. The Hardwood trees are usually a sale of land. But beautiful wood!!!

@ArmandKleinX Glad I don't install this equipment anymore.

@ArmandKleinX Right.

Quicksand Saw Mills When I was a child I thought these would be the 2 major threats to my safety as an adult. As it turns out neither has been an issue for me... so far...

Why the hell did I watch the entire video 😂

@mcgmouton57 Sure beats my little mill 😎🔥

@mcgmouton57 Understand.

And that son, is how you get a 4 x 6

The amount of work this would have taken 150 years ago…

Satisfying to watch. But if one full log of wood could only make a couple of planks, wonder how many trees go to the wood industry daily.

This was one of my favorite sounds when I worked at a mill. Scary how dangerous it was but man I loved to watch it roll logs

I can almost smell it.

And that’s it now I know how they make the boards, only the first three cuts go to the Home Depot

I felt like I was being edged. All I wanted was a full cut all the way to the end 😭

I can smell it!

The 1st 12 pieces go to Homedepot
Spent 6 months at an Idaho mill Lonnnng ago ! … always, like here with ‘one’ sawyer … notice him turning the log … trying to get the highest quality lumber out of each cut … he’s a MAJOR key to maximizing profit from a log

ลองจินตนาการ ถ้าคนงานพลาด

"Make it happen."

Doesn’t look like an experienced sawyer, not going to get enough volume at that pace, everything is slow.

Watched the whole way through --------------->

What are we doing? Making an 8 x 8?

Jesus, being a carpenter, is proud. 😂

Respect to the people who run this machines because just one mistake and you are enrolled to be a PWD.

1st & 2nd cut sold at Lowe’s.

Los aserraderos de disco desperdician mucha madera, los de cierra-cinta los superaron y actualmente hay muchas mejoras para optimizar el rendimiento. Las costaneras también son muy valiosas.

One big tree just to make one toothpick!🤣

@its_The_Dr I don’t understand why this is so mesmerizing.

This is why lumber is more expensive. All this goddamn automation that keeps replacing the workers...

Seems wasteful. Nature should grow trees in right angles 😃
