"Make It Last Forever" became Keith's third consecutive Top 3 single on Billboard's (then-titled) Hot Black Singles chart. It is Jacci's biggest hit to date.

Make It Last Forever • Keith Sweat [1987]

Mariah Carey, Joe and Nas killed the remix💥💥💥💥💥💥💥

Jacci gained so much popularity by being on the Keith Sweat song that she was offered a record deal by MCA. Her self titled album was released in 1992. Keith wrote 2 songs on the album and did background vocals for 1 of the songs. The album was re-released in 2023 in Japan 🇯🇵

Ms Juicy paid homage to the original and ate!

Song still slaps.... does not miss... takes me back every time...

Raw and it ushered in New Jack Swing. Dope ass 808 programming w some of the best synth work ever. Compare it. 🫡

I love these behind the scenes tidbits.

I love Keith and this interview was great. Jacci provided a great analogy about Keith’s voice. I always described it as him singing with a “sinus infection”. I’m good with the Steve Arrington comparison.

I remember When this drop everybody who had Beat was slapping this all summer

Kept this album in rotation

She trippin lol this still a certified unmatched banger lol

I loved that song in 1989, I would listen to the cassette tape in my walk man. The whole album is good.

Love here voice on all of it,she made it …Float On…

She might be right about Steve Arrington and Keef but somehow it still feels like a slight to Steve 😑😭 And I'm a BIG fan of that first Keef album LOL

That’s a classic glad she didn’t know it back then but she know it now hopefully, she’s getting residuals off the song

I love post like this, b/c in between the convo you find other old gems (Slave-Watching You🎶🕺)

I swear 20 year old voices sounded super mature in the 90s

Timeout, this ain’t got no video? Now I think about it, it don’t. This was one of the first rocket songs I remember just taking off and everyone turned up the radio with the systems in the car!

Lol keith do sound like steve 🤣

I have to admit, I had a big crush 😻 on her in early ‘90s 🤣

This is the best version of the song. I literally don’t wanna hear it unless she’s on it lol

Best jam of jams💯‼️‼️❣️

Wow

I’m impressed that she was just 20 years old. I thought for sure she was between late 30s and early 40s. She has a mature singing voice

That sounded like some Steve Arrington slander, and I am not having it!

Jacci Mcghee skeezer and it hurts me are long forgotten. She did jam with the family stand on one album, connected. She still sings with Keith last i remember.

This was a MUST have for the basement parties.. getting ya grind on lol

I’m just now noticing that it was never a video 🤣idk why I thought one was made

Damn…I never made that connection.

@mgshembe check this out Bru 😎

These bitches been ganstas forever.

And the remix Mariah Carey, Joe and Nas was even better 💥💥💥💥💥

My parents got married to this song in 1988 it did not last forever 😂

@aquariusflow314 I liked Keith Sweat's voice. The song was mellow and soul stirring at the time.
