I think she’s actually talking about herself. Because considering the amount of makeup she puts on, I honestly wonder what she would look like without it. And the second part? I genuinely don’t understand what bhindi has to do with skin. She’s saying things that even she probably doesn’t understand herself. It’s just a bunch of random, confusing statements that make absolutely no sense and leave everyone wondering what the actual point is.

She’s so right here. So right. People do not want a return to how things used to be. They want something better. I just wish she could condense what she said here in a minute and 30 seconds into 20 seconds or 30 seconds or 40 seconds, so people don’t tune out. She is so thoughtful and so deliberative in everything she says that she loses people in trying to make her point. I think this is why so many accuse her of this “word salad” nonsense. It’s not because she doesn’t know what she’s talking about, it’s because her prosecutor mind weighs the weight of every single word as she’s delivering a point. Toni Collette had told her agent that she didn't want to do any more heavy, dark films and only wanted to do comedies, but she liked the "Hereditary" (2018) script so much she couldn't turn it down. Here is Toni Collette stating the above: "I was not looking to do a film like this. I had specifically said, “I’m sick of heavy, I don’t want to cry all the time at work anymore. I want to make some funny movies.” My agent called and said, “I know what you said, but you need to read this.” And he was right. I loved it. I mean, I don’t know if “love” is the right word—it was more of a knowledge that I had to do it. It was so brilliantly written, so original.
