Games like Work at a Pizza Place and Natural Disaster Survival weren't perfect, but they were built around fun ideas instead of engagement metrics. Even early simulators like Bubblegum Simulator had a level of charm and respect for their audience before the genre became flooded with trend chasing brainrot games built around AI garbage. The problem isn't that kids have lower standards. It's that adults stopped believing quality products for kids matter. That's the philosophy behind the side project I've been working on Beeconomy.
