BREAKING: Mayor Zohran Mamdani says New York City will continue enforcing its sanctuary city policies and will not be complicit in federal civil immigration enforcement. “We do not allow ICE agents into our schools, our hospitals, or city property without a judicial warrant signed by a judge,” Mamdani said. “We are proud of our heritage as an immigrant city.” For many immigrant families, those policies are intended to ensure they can seek medical care, send their children to school, and access city services without fear.
