Never do this. It’s an accessibility nightmare.

You can still do different fallbacks for keyboard or assistive technology users tho ... but yes prob not worth for most cases

reminds me of game ui! where you gotta hold X to open a heavy door

Looks good, but I would never waste my JS on that!

Idea worth stealing

imo the modal should just close once deleted, and there should be a notification for the undoing

Love this idea, accidental deletes are the worst

I have been doing this for a while now, it's much better than a confirmation modal

I’d go one step further: destructive actions should be designed around reversibility, not confirmation. Hold-to-confirm works when deletion is permanent. But when recovery is possible, instant delete + undo is usually the better UX.

Are there any pitfalls with this idea? @grok

robots can't pass this right?

I think they can tbh

Should have probably worded this better lol. 'Make' is just a standard caption format I use for tweeting out experiments ... you might only want to do this with some good fallbacks for mobile, accessibility etc

so... let me get this clear. You're saying instead of having 2 clicks at different positions which take what? 1 second (less)? you now have to spend 3 seconds for that same action? Take my Money
