Kinda surprised some people don't know the dancing model was a mod I made (replaces fuuka), I was always careful to explicitly state that it was a mod when i posted about it. However I could never in a million years have expected it to be as famous or have the "impact" it did.

Once I made a successful mod on Starcraft2 (years in top 5 most played). I thought I'll remake it as a standalone game, and it will be popular. Turned out, marketing a Steam game was tough independently on how fun the game is. At least I made a multiplayer RTS game from scratch.
