Making Jesus The Inner Voice. Does this resonate with you?

The only danger is knowing for sure whether the voice you’re hearing is God or not. Our hearts can deceive us. That’s why we have the written word of God, something concrete, unchanging—it keeps us anchored in the truth. But it’s not dead, it’s living and active. Living water. It’s a miracle. Stay in the word until that Word becomes your inner voice. Praying for you 🙏

Read the word and only the word, 3 chapters everyday for a month. Start in Matthew, read everyday for a month. You’ll notice a difference in yourself and your everyday life. An elevated conscious due to a pursuit of earthly righteousness is not the same as Christ speaking.

We are told to pray without ceasing. That does not have to be a formal thing in a formal setting. It can be something as simple as Good morning Jesus, acknowledging his presence. Carry on an intentional conversation with Him throughout the day.

Psalms 1: Blessed is the one […] whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.

Yeah, I recon your on the right path there Russell. May I suggest you start asking Jesus to reveal himself, because he will, then as you start to hear him you can start to follow him. For me, it is the "peace that surpasses all understanding" that is like my magnetic north. I.e. if I don't have that peace then I know my problem is in the state of my relationship with my 'friend' Jesus, so the sanctity of that relationship then becomes my primary objective to bring me back onto track. I know this to be true because to do that is faith, and by the utilisation of faith I can listen for instruction that this puts me back into better alignment with God's plan. A plan that I believe is not only universal but also personal to each one of us. As such, this is an individual relationship we are all invited to have with the awesome living God, our creator!

This is quite familiar! That is what believers call the voice of Jesus or the Holy Spirit and what nonbelievers call your conscience speaking to you.

Jesus is the way brother.

Proverbs 9:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” Amazing you even talking about Jesus!(someone I watch in movies) What a time we are in. It’s up to each person to find who Jesus Christ really is.

His voice ultimately becomes Peace that passes understanding dwelling within us.

When you're indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and Jesus is your compass you cannot go wrong!
