Making nursing a degree job was the first mistake. My friend is about to retire as a staff nurse and she only started with a good standard education and then went to nursing school.

Student nurses should have their degrees paid for by the government in return for say 5 years service (could set it higher) in the NHS. Doctors should be the same but for 10 years service. Been saying this for years. Yet governments have no long term thinking cos they are idiots

Students who complete their nurse training and join the NHS should have their student debt written off.

Commit to X years in the NHS and get your degree paid. The benefits to society outweigh the cost

Never a good idea to make nursing a degree occupation. Nursing management were desperate to do it, as wanted parity with Dr’s. Now nurses spend years in school studying legal and ethical aspects and not learning the craft of nursing. - RGN 31 years of service.

Nurses shouldn't even need a degree to become a nurse.... they just need common sense and empathy.

Hey guys, the don't pay in Scotland. In fa t, they get non-repayable nurseries in many cases. Would be nice if you remembered there is a world outside England.

How many know this? I was recently in hospital and there were #NHS student nurses doing their UNPAID placements They have to do a staggering 2,300 free hours to qualify - some get their car park paid and that’s it It’s shocking and it’s slave labour as far as I can see 😡😡
