What he says, and what he means, are two different things. What he means is that he has lost the ability to underpay people, while providing no OSHA protections. He finds people willing to work 12 hour days with no overtime, paying them in cash so no taxes are taken from their paychecks, and if they go deaf because he doesn’t provide protection for their ears, it isn’t his problem. If they fall off ladders and break bones-not his problem. If they lift far more weight in roof shingles than OSHA allows, thereby doing damage to their backs-also not his problem. You see where this is going. These people are modern day slave holders.

It's almost like we shouldn't build our economy on a foundation of slave workers making shit wages. He just doesn't want to pay his workers a desirable wage where they will work in 90 degree weather pouring concrete. I know a guy who had a roofing company where his crews were mostly illegals. Of course he had a huge house, multiple cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles and a second lake house. He was just a greedy POS, most likely this guy is the same. Prices for homes aren't coming down if we allow employing illegals, the guy at the top will charge the same and just take the excess for himself.
