This problem is not even just Anambra people. I was just telling one of my friends last week that I have worked almost every day for over 15 years but never actually spent my money on myself. If I buy something for myself, I will start thinking that I have wasted my money that I could have invested. One time, I was sleeping on flat mattress meanwhile I was earning close to 10K dollars per month during that time. At the same time, I was sending millions to my family nonstop but I can’t summon courage to buy mattress for myself. This Jaguar that I am using - my friends forced me to buy it for myself, if not for them, I would still be driving my Camry. Starting from poverty is partly cause of this behavior - I am seriously working on changing this.
