He's just helping because the fireman was busy. Nothing more, nothing less.

Okay, so I see not many people know that when you're putting out a fire, you have to aim at the BASE of the flames...not the top!

His boy was ready with the camera as soon as he picked that line up lol

People don’t realize with different types of fires you can’t use water. If it was a lithium fire that would had exploded

How embarrassing! The second firefighter should’ve been doing that while the other one was getting the door open🤦🏻♂️ Welp thanks officer for your common sense

As a former firefighter I would have chewed his ass for touching one of my hoses. We make a plan and with reason. We don't just squirt water the dumb mf. When you hit fire you push it. Does he know he could have made things worse?

That's like when firefighters get a chance to lay some whoop ass on somebody to help the police fight a bad guy 🤣

He’s probably a volunteer firefighter on the side. 🤣

Common sense always wins the day. .. .

Has to be a truckie. They have to cut, pike, or pry before they put H2O on anything...

To break this down further why this is inherently bad. How the FUCK could you know what was on fire on the other side of that gate. because if that shit can't be extinguished with water and it causes thermal expansion or is a D or B source - everyone fucking dies. I can appreciate wanting to get into the game and do what you could with what you saw and he used that roof exactly how he should to gain additional spread by using the roof as a fogging point - but there is a reason you don't attack a fire you cannot see the source of OR at minimum know second hand information about, especially in an industrial area AND as hose team is making entry BLIND. Cop has definitely rolled a hose from how he fed that line forward though.

All the retards in the comments and the person that posted this not understanding what is actually going on here is the real joke here, that's the real thing to laugh at. Firemen where busy and asked him to control the fire while they breached the fence. Simple. This situation, these jobs, they're about working together, and that is exactly what is happening here.

there's protocols in place we cant just break the rules

If the cooking oil is burning I bet the cop would pour water on it 😂

Cop was like…

bro went from his first day as a cop to chief of the fire department

And that day he decided to go become a firefighter

Yeah, that cop is going to (rightfully) get his ass chewed. They were trying to see what they had burning before attacking the fire. The fire was contained, there was no rush and those flames don’t look like ordinary combustibles either. He could have easily pushed/blown/knocked over whatever is burning over there, potentially causing all kinds of problems.

He sHouLD sHoOt BaSe oF fIrE!! Reeeeee There’s a wall blocking the base Derrrrrrrr. He deflected from the roof downward. Well done 👍

The firefighter was trying to reach the center of the fire. Splashing water on it from outside looks good but does nothing.

and what if a 220v line was on the other side for a "hot tub " that just caught fire? get zapped and you'll never do it again...

And the fire quickly come back after he stop.

This year’s annual Cops vs Firemen charity basketball game is gonna be lit.

The key here is he aimed the water at that overhang which deflected it down onto the fire. Little discussed aspect of firefighters is they like to let shit burn out of control so they can play around with their toys. Smoke alarm goes off and they are on the roof with an ax

This isn't really doing anything though because that water isn't getting to the base of the flames. You can see it quickly reignites after he stops spraying.

well yeah , there could have been gas canisters in that blaze. the cold water IF they were there would have exploded killing them both .

He really needs to change professions😂😂 Cause he is better at fighting fire than the firefighters themself 😂😂

cop is definitely a volley somewhere. can tell by the way he fed the line towards the ground once the got inside the fence. nice to have help. they look understaffed.

He’s a brave man Instead of doing nothing he had to follow his instincts
