People don’t realize how fast and formidable grizzlies are. That guy was lucky to get 2 shots off before it closed the gap. All these 10mm for bear defense simps think they can empty a magazine in the bear before it reaches them. You right get 3-4. I’ll stick with something heavy duty.

Long ago, read an article about camping in the Big Bend area of Texas. It warned of bear attacks, and stated the following: Minimum caliber of .357. Keep shooting while distancing. Use every round, and do not miss. Keep running.

This is why I keep a 500SWM and a 45-70GOVT handy when there is a likelihood of an encounter like this. Most bears are super passive, but when you get the one that isn't, I don't intend to be a pile of bear sh*t some hours later.
