It’s sad to see little kids up at 1am begging for food. So I bought out the restaurant for the rest of the night and giving out free food to anyone that shows up and is hungry. A small gesture but was worth a million bucks to see the smile I put on these kids face. Something I’ll be doing every day I’m out here

There's been an unfortunate incident in LA with a Uhaul plowing into a crowd of anti-Khameini protestors This man should never have been able to get near the crowd with a uhaul but some info about the situation seem to be - signage on the truck is anti both the shah and the current ayatollah. is this his actual position or is this camouflage to have gotten into the protest to perpetrate an attack? "no Shah, No regime, No Mullah" Mullah is a religious leader so possibly referring to the current leader and not a king like Pahlavi Timeline appears to be - anti-Khameini protestors try to rip signs off his vehicle and are bashing on the windows and eventually his passenger side window is broken - guy in uhaul then stutterstops forward into the crowd, eventually accelerating further, then stuttering again, then full stopping down the road - there is a man surfing on top of the uhaul in the 3rd video, below I have posted another video showing the man on top of the uhaul trying to take the posters off the side, so he is likely part of the anti-Khameini protestors - uhaul driver is taken into custody by police is this a case of police not having the street sufficiently blocked off and so a guy was able to get a uhaul in here? He should not have been able to drive a uhaul this close to a massive protest crowd There are a lot of people saying this is a terrorist attack, it is possible it could be one but I don't think there's enough information to accurately assert that at this time The chronology of events also shows it is possible that the driver was in fear of his life since protestors were banging on the uhaul, windows, and removing signs+ eventually breaking his window Whatever turns out to be the actual case, it is an unfortunate event and as of right now a seeming silver lining is that no deaths have been reported

Local residents are urging the community to remain vigilant and step forward with any information following a violent assault and dog attack in the Wynwood neighborhood. | #ONLYinDADE According to reports from the victims, a man was running with his German Shepherd when they were suddenly ambushed from behind by two unleashed, aggressive pit bulls. As the runner attempted to intervene and pull the attacking dogs off his pet, the dogs’ owner described as a local homeless man allegedly encouraged his animals to attack the runner. While the victim was on the ground sustaining multiple dog bites, the suspect reportedly struck him, knocking him unconscious. A nearby bystander managed to capture video footage of the incident. In the actual account of meeting Brig ML Khetarpal and Brig Naseer, there is no cowardice, there is no repentance, there is no anti-war sentiment. Only Soldierly pride and mutual respect for professionalism. Brig ML Khetarpal was a third generation soldier. He could have never said things like, why his son did not yield (in the face of enemy fire). This fictionalized account is a disgrace to the memory of the paramveer Arun Khterpal and a disservice to his father Brig ML Khetarpal. Today, Brig Khetarpal is not there to refute this mockery, but are we all dead to accept this farce?

Lifelong readers aren’t born, they’re made. I can’t get enough of this little one, who finds the most exciting discovery at the grocery store: books. Watch his reaction. His excitement. And the way he plops right down on the floor to dig in. It probably won’t surprise you to learn that reading holds a special place of honor in this household - or that this family’s IG account is jam packed with book content. There’s more to learning to read than being read to, of course. But the desire and inclination to read… the association between books and pleasure…those are all things you can begin developing from Day One by making daily reading a part of your child’s life. Look at all the literacy knowledge this little guy has already developed. Just marvelous. Read, read, read with your baby. This literate little one was shared to IG by sambolivat.

Just got home from Vegas, and it’s making me chuckle to see the discourse around Phish at the Sphere in my mentions. Those posts blew up! So many hot takes and cultural karenification. It’s not that serious. A lot of it is coming from the self-appointed cool crowd with zero curiosity about the experience… the exact type of people who are probably anti-amusement park, anti-cruise, anti-arcade, anti-roller coaster, anti-Magic Castle or Medieval Times. Relax. Whimsy still has its place in how we spend our leisure time at a low-stakes cultural spectacle. It’s like getting mad at the catering for a wedding you weren’t invited to or something? Obviously I had a great time on my spring vacation of choice. But, like a human golden retriever, I’m also the kind of person who always has a good time in an experience instead of trying to find the misery in it. Those of us who go to Phish know we’re big old dorks and a little cringe, just like Renaissance Faire or Civil War reenactors or people who go to ComicCons. Or wrestling. Or F1. Whatever! We mostly own it. Anyway, here are some more rage bait visuals from Tweezer. This is exactly what it’s going to feel like opening up the laptop on Monday. Especially because I have to go to the dentist for the third time in a month this week..

Apparently, this is the video of a Super Falcons player putting food in her bag, and it’s clearly being taken completely out of context. At a buffet, it’s common for guests to take food back to their room or pack something to eat later when they’re heading out. On its own, this video proves nothing and has absolutely no connection to the reported theft of money from her hotel room. Using an unrelated clip to fuel racial abuse or to justify an alleged theft at the Marriott Hotel in Casablanca is dishonest and misleading. Taking food from a buffet does not excuse or explain money allegedly being stolen from a player’s room. CAF and the Local Organising Committee must treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves, investigate the reported abuse, and ensure that all players are protected from discrimination, harassment and hate.

Highly Sensitive video Corp Member Found Dead in Nembe, Bayelsa State; Police, NYSC Urged to Investigate A young Nigerian graduate and serving NYSC member, Okebaram Stanley Chimaoke, has reportedly been found dead in Nembe, Bayelsa State, under circumstances that remain unclear. Stanley, a former SUG President of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri, Imo State, was serving in Bayelsa when he reportedly went missing on Friday night after leaving his residence to get food from a local restaurant. According to accounts from his colleagues, he never returned. His body was reportedly discovered in a river around the Nembe waterside on Sunday afternoon with parts of his body allegedly eaten by crabs. What is particularly disturbing is that the actual cause of Stanley’s death remains unknown. There are concerns that no clear explanation has yet been provided about what happened between the time he went missing and when his body was found. There are also reports that the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) reached out to the state and local police authorities over the matter, but the circumstances surrounding his death reportedly remain unresolved as no actual investigation is ongoing. Stanley was in 2023 Civil Engineering set. A young man who graduated, served as a student leader and proceeded to serve his country through the NYSC should not have his death treated as a mystery that nobody is willing to investigate. A young man who graduated, served as a student leader and proceeded to serve his country through the NYSC should not have his death treated as a mystery that nobody is willing to investigate. His disappearance, the circumstances surrounding the discovery of his body and the actual cause of his death must be properly investigated. This is very very sad to say the least! Young children are like scientists - constantly testing their theories about the world. Swiss psychologist Jean Piaget is revered in education circles as the father of “constructivism” - which is a theory that young children create knowledge by connecting new experiences with past learning, through a process not unlike the scientific method. And here’s an amazing example. Faced with something unfamiliar (an anti-theft security tag affixed to a shoe), this little guy draws upon his existing knowledge (or “schema” in Piagetian terms) to make sense of what he’s seeing. In a sign of the times that would have fascinated Piaget (who died in 1980), our hero assumes that the shoe comes with its own charger, which - according to its label (a size 10 sticker) will permit the owner to walk for 10 minutes after charging. (Or perhaps this is the time required to achieve a full charge?) It’s really a pretty amazing hypothesis that draws on multiple different data points. Not shown in the video is what happens next. Had his theory been affirmed as correct (which in this case it isn’t), the example of a battery powered shoe with a USB port would have been “assimilated,” strengthening his existing knowledge of electronic devices. Presuming mom provides some explanation about store security tags, however, our little scientist will be disproven - forcing him to “accommodate” within his existing schema to take the existence of a new object into account.
