Man tased during traffic stop for not putting his phone down, thoughts?

They didn't stop him for a traffic violation. They knew exactly who they were stopping. Beat his lady senseless and did a bunch of other crazy shit. so yeah tase away. It was a felony stop

There is no good reason the cop should feel threatened by a cell phone. He clearly knows it's a phone from his repeated commands to drop it. These are cops on power trips, plain and simple. I hope this guy gets a nice fat settlement out of it.

If the police officer tells you to put down your phone, you put down your phone. If you refuse to do the lawful order of a police officer, then I don’t care what happens to you.

@MikeT5219 The officer wanted empty hands for his safety. He has every right to tell him to drop it and comply. The man was being recorded anyway. No need for the phone. Just comply with the lawful order.

The cops should be disciplined. They had two guns on the guy. The phone was no threat to them.
