I showed my 15 yr old daughter this video and her immediate feedback after watching was she loved the fact he didn't say ....as a black American....rather, he said ....as an American!

The Revolutionary War started with the death of a black man, was saved by a black man, and was ended with the crucial help of a black man. So, I don’t know how Joy Reid can say black people shouldn’t view the Fourth of July as their Independence Day too. Unless she just doesn’t know history, which is my guess. She’s right to say that black American history was erased. But do you know who she has to thank for that? The early 20th century progressives.
