Happens all of us, dad has extremely high hopes for their child, especially eldest.

Fans aren't a replacement for a father's pride, but when it comes to an actor as genuine and utterly devoted to their craft as Alfred is, I hope he (and his father somewhere) knows that us fans well and truly appreciate him in every single way. Needless to say we're proud of him.
