Looks like the jet fuel melted the steel beams

Why the cheering? This was an iconic piece of Miami! Sad, really… 🌴😢

I wonder how the Brickell Key neighbors managed all that dust right next to their condos! Only in Miami a modern, successful, extremely luxurious hotel, is demolished for an even bigger project.

Yippee more congestion

That’s crazy. Very bad approval. A place with historical significance to just build apartments. Only money and only money is our mentality today.

@LakersCanes305 What about all the pollution that went into the water. Will it be cleaned up?

I'm sure all that dust going into the water is great for the ecosystem

Reminds me of Building 7

9/11 was done by Jews,it was a controlled demolition

The view from the restaurant there was in fucken credible at night

Assuming Israel claimed Hamas was hiding in Brickell Key??

Should have just flown a plane ✈️ into it.

How well do you think the bridge will hold up with all the heavy trucks and equipment crossing it for the next year?

What noooooooo? I loved that place.

And just like that, a massive 100 story building will take its place.

Heard it from the grove. Thought we were being bombarded

This building was an iconic part of my view from Brickell for a decade. The pace of evolution of the city is incredible.

So we are going to tear down a world class landmark just to build... what? Another ultra luxury skyscraper? The Mandarin Oriental was once the gold standard of elegance in Miami 😅

@SweetGaelicGirl Looks like a plane hit it

Congrats to all the churchgoers who woke up in time to see this 😂

@ChristinaPushaw I stayed in that hotel a couple years ago for the F1 race, seemed like a great place to me

What happened? Were some buildings next to it hit by passenger jets or something?

Would’ve never predicted this

@LakersCanes305 That was an amazing spa

@ChristinaPushaw Bldg 7 - “hold my drink”

No hepa filter?

What’s replacing it?

Was that an angry customer ? Way overreacted imho
Tan bonito que suena la palabra: “demolición” …

stayed many times, randomly there when building demolished on miami side; built in 2000, not old, knocked down "to make way for a new, more luxurious multi-tower development featuring a smaller hotel and private residences"

Now do the rest of Miami. 😎

@ChristinaPushaw Unfortunate. I loved that hotel. One of my favorite in the world.

Had some good times in there, gone in dust

@JoshBreslowTV Hard to believe.
