Shopkeepers law says you can only hold someone if you have reasonable suspicion they stole something. Unless he can identify the item he believes is being stolen (which he doesn’t) this is illegal. This dude is on a power trip.

He’s in the wrong, you’re not supposed to touch anyone if you’re an employee. Regardless if they stole something or not, it is policy that the workers get law enforcement involved. If it was me and the way food is priced so high, I wouldn’t care BECAUSE EVERYTHING HAS INSURANCE on it in that store.

I feel bad for the Walmart employee. Dude was just trying to do his job. All they had to do was show a receipt. But instead of complying they created drama so they could make their video go viral on social media. Ridiculous. 🤦🏻‍♀️
