They knew exactly what an urban war in a densely populated area would look like. They all went into hiding and left their people out to suffer. And these devastating consequences for the people of Gaza? That was a part of their strategy, to delegitimize Israel’s standing in the eyes of the world. They knew what they were doing, and Israel could not and still cannot allow these jihadists to live on its borders. No other nation would allow that. 🇺🇸 Having attended the parade, and the Army 250th festival on the National Mall before it, I agree with Senator John Fetterman. This had nothing to do with Donald J. Trump & his birthday & any political party and everything to do with showing respect & gratitude for the Army. I spoke with countless soldiers today, from recent enlistees to 3-star Generals. Shook their hands. Listened to their stories. Spent a lot of time with a Blackhawk pilot and his wife & kids, even riding back on the Metro with them, exchanging numbers and promising to keep in touch. I’ve never met such honorable, HUMBLE, strong people in my life. We are blessed to have the U.S. Army protecting us. And today was a day JUST for them. It made be even prouder to be an American and even more thankful for the sacrifices of our service members. God bless 🙏 all of them and their families who share them with all of us. 🇺🇸

This is the weirdest war in my lifetime, and also the most dangerous. Trump has to keep oil prices down, meaning he can't make a big deal out of anything or else fear and panic would drive the markets into a depression. He has to negotiate with madmen who want to wash the world in blood (with their nukes or ours; they don't care), so normal negotiations don't work. And he has to do all that while keeping it off of Page 1 of the newspapers... and hopefully win an election too. We've never fought a war like this. Not even close.
