My son was EVERYWHERE, YouTube etc. on TV. Snapchat, discord etc. on the pc. He received his first phone at the age of 13, now everything is in one place and I can monitor him through Bark, and not because everybody else had one. I never felt that pressure.

My kid has never asked me to get a phone for her. She was the one that told me, she doesn't need it. There's nothing so urgent that my friends can't wait until they see me again. If that annoys them, so be it. But again, my kid is a homeschooler

My ex got our daughter an iPhone when she was 9 without talking to me first. I was livid. She’s 13 now and he puts screen time restrictions, limits social media to an hour a day, on her phone. How ironic

The smartphone is not an evil object they will get it one day, better give them that and teach them how to properly use it for good it's difficult route but better one
