She is giving us all an opportunity to see him one last time. Open caskets were very common when I grew up. Charlie was a real human being. Everyone, including those that disagreed with him need to understand that. This is reality.

By sharing this video, Erika Kirk knows that the world needs to say goodbye along with her. And she knows that the world needs to see the reality of what evil did to him so we would rise up.

I keep looking at his hands..... wishing he was still here. Wishing it didn't take this awful awful event to wake people up to the evil out there. It helps to see her with him, but it hurts too. So strange to be mourning someone I never knew. The loss is real and profound.

Millions of people could not attend the funeral, so she ever so graciously allowed us a moment to attend the funeral with her…to grieve with her. To weep with her. To say goodbye to a friend we never even knew, but felt like we had.

This is such a great take. The left & the murderer sought to dehumanize Charlie Kirk. Erica Kirk true to form, unselfishly shared this precious moment with the world to defeat that unhuman act. May God bless her, I can’t even imagine what she is going through but I’m thankful for her, & marvel at her resilience and strength born of a relationship with the True & Living God, Jesus Christ. This is the perfect example of “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.

To compare this to Jackie Kennedy, who famously told lady bird Johnson, “no, let them see what they have done,” when she brought her a clean sweater…is truly an affront to the memory of the kennedys. This is a staged photo op - hardly a truly historic non staged moment. It’s also just cringe.

Seeing a love one in a casket is by far the saddest and hardest part because it's the last time you'll ever see them and it's the final goodbye.

Excellent point. At first, I was uncomfortable, but I realized she brought us into this moment so that we could grieve together. And to really understand how devastating this is to a young wife with young kids. This is how you light fires of faith.

Emmett Till mother left his casket open so everyone course see what happened. She allowed us to see her grief and be a part of the goodbye. I couldn't watch it. It felt too intimate ❤️

I think people need to see this, they need to see the impact that their rhetoric has. This people live in a warped reality like life is like social media where you can just delete and redo and you can not in this instance! So sorry but I welcome this post by Erika.

I have no issues with this video. It brings finality and shows us the humanity of a wife bidding her final farewell to her slain husband.

Now that I understand. I will never be the same after seeing his murder. His passing did something to me as I’m sure it did to many of us. I wish we never saw it. I wish that there werent cruel people but here we are!
