Yeah.... Because it was a province of the Ottoman Empire, who took it from the Mamluks, who took it from the Arabs, who took it from the Christians, who took it from the Arabs, who took it from the Christians, who took it from the Romans, who took it from the Jews... And they in turn took it from a bunch of other tribes who they killed off.... including the Philistines. Which is where the name "Palestine" comes from. A Philistine in modern English is someone who is so disagreeable that they are unable to stomach any culture or art.

Palestine is a geographical area. Not a people. It was always the home of the Jews invaded by Romans, Christians and now Muslims.

1722? How about 65m BC?

The map includes a desert named Palestine Desert of Arabia that extended eastwards. No State called Palestine ever existed in History. The Jewish Homeland's name was changed as punishment from JUDEA to Suryia Palaestina by the Romans following the 2nd JEWISH Revolt in 135 CE.

Love it. History on Tik Tok… How millenial 😂

No one denies the fact that this region was given the name Palestine by the Romans. 🙄 The Jews decided to change it to its indigenous name Israel. Just like the Indians changed their capital city name to Mumbai from the British Bombay. Why is this so hard to understand?

The Roman's called it that as an insult. It was passed down from empire to empire.

The Romans gave the name Syria-Palaestina to the Roman province of Judaea (Israel) in the early 2nd century AD. Over 150 years after the death of Jesus (who was a Jew) in 33A.D. It eventually got shortened to Palestine which was the name of the ״REGION״. Another name given to the region was the Levant. All this proves is that you are ignorant.
