Two more members of the Iranian women’s soccer team were granted asylum in Australia before their teammates were transported to the airport, according to Australia’s Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke. Burke said one of the two members was a player and the other a team staffer, and that they were reunited with the other five players who sought asylum in Australia after refusing to sing Iran’s national anthem before a match. Burke said the women were each taken aside individually by Australian officials and interpreters without minders present at the airport and were made offers of asylum. “They were given a choice,” he said. “Ultimately, in Sydney, none of those individuals made the decision to take up the offer from Australia.”

As we mourn those who lost their lives on Sunday, there’s also a reckoning that must take place. There’s been a colossal failure to crush the Jew hatred that’s festered in Australia over the past two years and to stamp out the radical Islamist ideology that’s allowed it to spread. We must stop importing these ideologies and the people who live by them into Australia. They are at odds with Australia’s core Anglo-Celtic culture and fundamental Judeo-Christian ethos, which has made us one of the most free, fair and safe societies in the world.

This is pretty incredible. Opus 5 can procedurally generate 3D worlds from reference images. You can also interact with objects in the generated world and they stay in place, pretty amazing. The iterative refinement from the agent is really impressive. I asked the agent to walk the world and improve it at every step. The visual quality refinement is substantial as the agent explores the world itself. Some visual examples in the next post. I am really impressed by the visual quality. There are still some minor issues but the run is not yet complete. On the other hand it has already burn through 15% of my weekly limits on Max!

This morning, the Fort Worth Police Department, the Fort Worth Fire Department, and approximately 50 first responder agencies from as far north as Frisco all the way down to Waco climbed the towers at City Center in Downtown to honor the fallen who gave the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001. A piece of steel from one of the World Trade Centers was present at today’s event. As each first responder finished their climb, they rang a bell in honor of the person they were climbing for. Each first responder climbing today had a lanyard around their neck with the picture and name of a fallen hero from 9/11. #NeverForget #worldtradecenter Fort Worth Fire Department

The only thing that has kept the world safe from a nuclear holocaust is the fear of mutually assured destruction, as Sting sang, "I hope the Russians love their children too." But what happens if those who have a nuclear bomb at their disposal are elderly religious fanatics who believe in martyrdom, where they’ll be rewarded with 72 virgins in heaven? I don’t think that’s a risk the world can afford to take. And when they chant "Death to America" are the Americans safe in thinking they are only joking ? There are grave risks in the decision that President Trump has taken, but there are also potentially even greater risks of doing nothing. Therefore I believe President Trump was left with no choice. Let’s hope the Iranians love their children too, and pursue peace.

WRONG WAY SEMI ON THE BA EXPRESSWAY You might have seen or heard about a semi driving the wrong direction on the BA Expressway earlier this week. Dash cam from the semi tells the story. The semi was headed westbound near 129th E. Ave. when a Kia began changing lanes, likely unaware the semi was there. The semi veered onto the snowy shoulder, causing the trailer to jackknife and swing the cab in the opposite direction of traffic. The semi drove eastbound in the wrong direction back to the ramp at 129th to get his trailer back behind his truck. Fortunately, no one was injured in this incident. As the snow melts, cold nights can lead to refreezing and slick conditions. We want to encourage all motorists to take caution, especially at night, as the unthawing continues across Tulsa! Just an FYI, we made contact with the driver of the Kia, who was cooperative. They told us they were unaware that they cut off the truck while changing lanes. Their information was documented in the report. #TulsaPolice

The group had made inroads in their native UK with their 1970 self-titled album, but were little-known in the US. Marc Bolan wanted to change that by coming up with something that would strike to the heart in America. According to T. Rex drummer Bill Legend, he and Bolan worked out the rhythm one day in Bolan's hotel room, and when the tour got to Los Angeles, the group reconvened with members of the team that worked on their first album: producer Tony Visconti and backup singers Howard Kaylan and Mark Volman, who were members of The Turtles and recorded as Flo & Eddie. Janet — a journalist and writer — founded the community choir as a hobby to cheer on marathon runners. At this time the commentators said "She needs to stop and somebody needs to give her advice to step off and stop trying to run on. She may not know what to do in a marathon". -But Sifan showed grit & resilience to stay on the course limping while her competitors raced ahead of her. -At one point, she was nearly hit by the lead motorbike while trying to get to her water bottle. -Later she offered water to her rivals. -With every kilometre she closed the gap with the leaders and soon was with the pack. -And 400meters away from the finish line she surged leaving her competition almost impossible to catch her. Sifan won the race with a finish time of 2hr 18min 34 sec After the finish she said “I learned to be patient and just to run my own race.
