This is more of their solo scav system. Marathon also has sponsored kits from the vendors that act more like the arc raiders free loadout and you can play with your friends that way.

Low risk modes are fine for onboarding, but if you remove tension entirely you are basically turning a marathon into a treadmill with Netflix on.
