Marc Maron doesn't buy the argument that comedians are spreading "Western values" by playing shows in autocratic countries such as Saudi Arabia. "Autocratic countries that become culturally Westernized, I don't think it ever changes the politics of those countries. It just does what it does here: creates more distraction,... show more

This is a warning about Socialism. Listen to every single word America “The only good thing about having lived under socialism is that you learn how bad it is, and so you don't wanna make those same mistakes What's concerning to me is that after I came to America a decade ago, I learned that there were actually people who believed in these ideas, who believed that what happened in Venezuela was not due to socialism, but, you know, it's just another corrupt government. Well, guess what? Most countries are corrupt. There are corrupt people in the US government, too — there are corrupt people in every government in the world There are many corrupt countries. Not many countries have eight million people flee from their country, a third of their population. Not many countries starve to death, even corrupt countries, because you have to take people's freedom for that to happen. Even countries that are dictatorships. Do you see people starving in the streets of Dubai, even during the crisis in the Strait of Hormuz? No. Do you see refugees flowing out of Saudi Arabia when oil prices go down? Do you even see countries that are sanctioned starve to death? No. So why is Venezuela, why is Cuba, why are all these socialist countries different? Because the common denominator is that they destroy free enterprise. You cannot start a business. You cannot feed your family, therefore you die and you flee. It's that simple.”

Trump on USMCA renegotiation "I don't really care about it, so it might go away. No real advantage to us. It's irrelevant to me. Canada would love it. Canada wants it. They need it." "Because we don't need Canada product. That's the thing. You know, I want to be a nice person, but we don't need." "I want to build the cars here, not in Canada. We used to build cars in Canada." "Now the Canada cars, the Canadians are moving here to build cars. Same thing with Mexico." Q " What about the raw materials coming in from countries like Canada?" Trump "Well, we get it, but we have a lot of our own raw materials. And, you know, the word raw and rare are a little bit of a misnomer They're not very rare." "You have a lot of places that want to sell us material, and we get it from a lot of different countries, and we have a lot of rare earth and raw materials." Donald J. Trump

A woman from San Diego says , 'Islam is the most feminist religion in the world. - Caleb hammer disagree Guest: I believe Islam is the most feminist religion in the world. Caleb Hammer: I don't have a problem with Islam. “But when you say it's the most feminist religion, you're going to lose me.” “Based on what we see today, many of the countries with the least freedom for women are Islamic theocracies.” Guest: That's because of how the media portrays those countries. Caleb Hammer: I don't believe it's just the media. “Take Iran. Before it became a theocratic regime, women had more freedom to go to school, work, and choose what they wore.” Guest: Women still work and go to school there. Check your facts, Caleb. Caleb Hammer: Do you really think they have the same freedoms they had before? Guest: What do you mean by freedom? Being able to go out naked? Caleb Hammer: No. I mean being able to choose not to wear a headscarf without getting beaten or arrested by the morality police. “Again, this isn't an anti-Muslim argument.” “But calling it the most feminist religion goes against what people can see happening in countries like Iran and Saudi Arabia.” “Women in Saudi Arabia only got the right to drive a few years ago. In Iran, you can be punished for taking off your headscarf. “I don't think the American government has officers going around beating women for not wearing certain clothes.”

"In particular, I can just, the experience of a Saturday...people don't agree on anything else except that they want that home team on the field to win." "And it's one of the few unifying experiences we have as a country, and it's so critical." "This is the feeder program for our Olympic teams. Without it, there is no feeder program. Other countries have structured it differently, but the way we have it in our country is so unique in that way."

Trump: Religion is a very important factor in a country's success. It doesn't have to be Christianity. That's our religion. If you look at some of these countries without religion, they are not happy places. Does that make sense to you?

🚨 LISTEN TO CHARLIE KIRK: "I cannot see a single Western country that has become more Islamic and has become a better place to live that is happier or freer." "I think it's SUICIDAL to import MILLIONS of them." "Is macro Islam compatible with Western values, macro? Of course, it's NOT. There are 3 major reasons why." "Islam does not believe in freedom of speech, Islam does not believe in freedom of religion, and Islam does not believe in separation of mosque and state." "Those three things are antithetical to the West. In a Muslim-majority country, most Muslim-majority countries, you cannot criticize the prophet Muhammad. In most Muslim-majority countries, you do not have the same robust freedom of religion protections." "And finally, whereas we in the West are very careful to try to intermix religion and state, they are commanded to actually go into the state and try to change the state to be more Islamic around the core pillars of Islam." "The question that we need to reckon with the West is, is Muhammadism compatible with the teachings of Blackstone? Is it compatible with the legacy of Wilberforce and the great thinkers that have come from this country?" "And I will say, no, there's a reason why when you go to these Islamic countries that you're not going to see the equal protection of rights, that you do not believe in universal human equality, that you do not believe the same things that we believe in the West."

Arteta: “To be fair, it's a bit different when you finish second and when you win it with your phone, and that's a sport and it's a big lesson in life as well because the margins are so small and it can go either way. “When you just accomplish it, you realise, yeah, how immense it is, how big it is for so many people. I mean, just to witness the happiness and the enjoyment, all the things that I've seen from all of our supporters, families in different countries, it's just so good.”

Elon Musk: We tend to meddle a bit too much in other countries' business. “We send a lot of money to various countries, but I'm like, does it do any good? I don't know. I think we should just do a thorough review of, like, do our actions actually help these countries and why are we sending them our money again? If we're sending people's tax money to other countries, does it actually make sense? Is it doing good? Can it be defended to the American public or not? And if it can't, then I think we should probably stop sending money or send less and then we should like if we are, we should try not to interfere with other countries activities. We tend to get in other countries business a bit too much I think. So I'm more of a fan of the sort of Monroe Doctrine of like let other countries do their thing and we'll just be, you know, we'll be cool here, you know.” From: Town Hall in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, October 24, 2024

Former GOP congressman Adam Kinzinger (Slava Ukraini) 🇺🇸🇺🇦: "As a member of Congress I would travel to a lot of places and I would always run into a reporter from Voice of America who would interview me. And what came out of those interviews and was broadcast to audiences in those countries was not U.S. propaganda. ... It was a very fair report, sometimes critical, sometimes complimentary. But it was a fair news story about whatever the topic was. Because Voice of America was not there to pump regime propaganda into different places. It was there to show these countries what freedom of the press was."

Professor Ruth Wisse always famously said you should never talk to people about Israel without a map. And that's because if you just look at it in the prism that the Palestinians and their supporters want you to look at it through, you see an army with F-35 jets and tanks, and you see the Palestinians in Gaza without those things, and you say, "Okay, one is the more powerful, the other is the underdog. We'll root for the underdog." That's a common theme in Western society. But when you look at a map, you can see the reality: Israel is a teeny, tiny country surrounded not just by some of the largest countries in the world—Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iran, Iraq—huge land masses filled with hundreds of millions of people, but also by some of the wealthiest countries in the world, with hundreds of billions, and sometimes trillions, of dollars in oil and natural gas resources that Israel does not possess. So you have some of the largest countries in the world, some of the most populous countries in the world, and hundreds of millions of Muslim Arabs, many of whom have been raised from childhood to hate the Jewish state and to see its very existence as a deep wound in the substructure of their souls—one that must be corrected if they are to fulfill their mission on this earth—all arrayed against the one tiny Jewish state in the world. When you see it in that prism, I think the lens is very different.

I think you can build something that doesn't have to travel every night. I think the show itself is better. I think there's something in this that allows me to stay in my life while I'm doing it. And therefore I think allows me to take care of myself better, which I think makes me better at doing the thing. Brian Armstrong (Brian Armstrong) explains why young people are falling to socialism: "Think about lower economic freedom countries—North Korea, Cuba, formerly Venezuela. These are not places where you would want to go." "There's a whole argument about suicidal empathy. If America's been so prosperous for so long, does it create some sense of guilt and people now want to give back or redistribute?" "If you look at it on the face, you'd say, 'It's unequal outcomes. That's not good.'" "If you take away that incentive and freedom for people to go build innovative things and try new ideas, you have a society that stagnates. And you have people who go into positions of power that become corrupted."
