Marcelo Saracchi 🇺🇾 v Hearts (16/05/26)

Final analysis piece of the league season for @celticway1888 on how he, and Martin O'Neill's other subs, helped get Celtic over the line on Saturday 👇

Been enjoyable (or not some weeks 😬) doing these post-match analysis pieces. Big thanks to @jhnmcgnly for the continued opportunity - hopefully a few folk have enjoyed these pieces since the turn of the year.

Back to scouting/recruitment pieces again soon too, I'm sure. Plenty of work to be done there by the club on that front in the coming weeks!

The thing you notice immediately is he never went back once. Not once. Always positive. Whether that's a forward pass, a clearance, a throw-in, a run into space. Infectious. Must look at securing a deal if it's possible. 🇺🇾🍀🧉

Off all the loan signings this season - this is the guy I want to see signed permanently.

I thought he was involved in all the good stuff after he came on.

@jhnmcgnly He's got tons of class; first touch, great pass, can cross, can defend, has just the right amount of niggle and plays with a smile on his face. Really hope we can keep him!

@JamesGallache18 Brilliant when he came on, he knew 💚🍀💚

@jhnmcgnly The wee man was immense when he came on, direct and forward thinking. Totally changed the dynamic of the game and has fire in his belly. Hope Celtic sign him permanently 🍀😍

Liked him from day 1 …knows how to stretch a game …I would sign him 🥰🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪

@DeclanRobb We need a real shake-up in central defence but Saracchi and Tierney / Johnston and Araujo as wing-backs would be just fine!

Definition of a game changer

Aye he was fuckin brilliant

Sarrachi and Maeda on that side were incredible

Get that wee guy signed

@MartinMaginess3 We have got too sign him great player

@BhoyNic No surprise that O’Neill brought him into the centre of the dressing room to take the applause of his teammates after the game.

Has not put a foot wrong every time he has played. What a player. Would have loved to see him play play on the left wing 👋

So positive

What a player!! 🍀🍀🍀

He was immense

Game changer. Love it.

@jhnmcgnly

He was the difference..1000%

That wee linesman is forever trying to claim offside on a Celt even when it's obvious they are on watch out for him.

Get the ball, get it forward, get it in the box as quick as possible. My kind of player.

What a player. Celtic all over, always pushing forward.

@DonyzTweets

What a player to bring on. Brilliant play. Took ownership of the game from left back.

Hes better than tierney and its not even close
