This was Marilyn Monroe’s final performance. In the unfinished 1962 film “Something’s Got to Give”, Monroe played a wife presumed lost at sea. The movie was never completed or released: abandoned amid her frequent absences, firing and rehiring by the studio, and her tragic passing in August 1962. “Her laughter, that gaze in her eye, and her raw and effortless flare in how she communicates to the camera just pulls in you in. Marilyn Monroe in “Something’s Got To Give” (1962). Contrary to popular belief “The Misfits” was not Monroe’s final film. In 1962, having lost weight and looking more incandescently beautiful than ever, the actress began work on the comedy “Something’s Got To Give” directed by George Cukor and co-starring Dean Martin and Cyd Charisse. Monroe played Dean’s wife Ellen, who finally returns from being shipwrecked on a remote island to find she has been declared legally dead and that her husband is married to Charisse. Before being fired by Fox, a glowing Monroe completed several scenes, including the infamous nude swim, a first for a major American actress. Fox rehired her, but before she could return to work, the star died of an overdose of barbiturates. (The film was later remade as the forgettable “Move Over, Darling”, with Doris Day and James Garner.) Monroe’s scenes were put in a vault until they were retrieved and reassembled, before being added to Dean and Cyd’s contributions. The clip below is the result, and gives us a taster of what a wonderful film “Something’s Got To Give” might have been. Marilyn’s naked swim is at the end. A must watch for Monroe fans!

Have you listened to this Testimony by Pastor Anwinli Ojeikere of the Winlos . How few years ago she was all over preaching while pregnant when the time came for her to give birth ,she lost the baby and she was still in the hospital talking to God about her frustrations and a person call her requesting for prayers because the person was battling addiction and God instructed her to pray for the person ..and later the person shared a testimony that he was set free from that addiction that day . Pastor Ojeikere finishes by saying anytime you give up ,you make a generation loose . Please don't give up .
