Marines training in the Los Angeles area!

You are aware, I am aware, any Marine is aware of the absolute violence Marines are capable of….unfortunately, most civilians have no comprehension of it. I hope they don’t find out.

We did this training at San Mateo in the early 70's. President Nixon's home was outside the San Onofre Gate in San Clemente. We drilled endlessly in a wedge formation while doing a forward loud stomp with right foot - and then slide left foot forward all while wearing gas masks and carrying M16's with fixed bayonets.

Yeah, it’s pretty common.
