Let’s be honest: it’s not hateful to defend the right of women to fair sport, safe changerooms, and female-only spaces. It’s basic common sense and it’s under threat. Labor and the Greens continue to defend changes made to the Sex Discrimination Act that erased the biological definitions of male and female. Those changes opened the door to policies that put ideology ahead of women’s wellbeing. That’s why I’m introducing legislation to amend the Act and restore definitions that reflect biological reality to protect the rights Australian women have fought for over generations.
