The writing on the monument says that it was "liberated from Nazis" in May 2022. Mariupol was under Russian siege for months at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Thousands of people were killed, thousands more fled the city. And now, Russia tries to present its abhorrent war crime as "liberation from Nazis." Sickening.
